Bliv en pirat for dagen! Vi vil gøre vores vej til Wallilabou Bay - filmfilmen af filmen, The Pirates of the Caribbean. Wallilabou Bay blev kaldt Port Royal i The Movie. Denne tur giver dig også mulighed for at besøge nogle af de mest populære og maleriske seværdigheder i St. Vincent.

Vores tur starter på Kingstown krydstogt terminal. Vi tager dig gennem vores hovedstad Kingstown. Når vi kører igennem jer, vil vi blive vist og givet oplysninger om nogle af de mest historiske bygninger som Central Police Station, The Financial Complex, Det Østlige Caribiske Højesteret og også vores Cenotaph.
Vi kører gennem vores travle markedsplads, hvor mange leverandører og landmænd sælger deres lokale producerer.
Når vi fortsætter gennem vores hovedstad Kingstown, kører vi på gaden i kirken eller "back street", som den kaldes lokalt. Her vil du blive vist og fået en kort historie om metodistkirken såvel som den anglikanske og den romersk-katolske kirke.
Derefter rejser vi videre til Fort Charlotte. Fort Charlotte er en britisk-kolonitidenes fort, bygget på en bakke med udsigt over havnen og med panoramaudsigt over Leewards side af øen, herunder Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia og også den berømte ø Mustique.
Efter vores stop ved Fort Charlotte, vil vi derefter blive med i Leeward High, som er omdøbt til Nelson Mandela Highway. I forbifarten kommer du til at se Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, The Victoria Park - et lille stadion, der også kaldes Carnival City i karnevalsæsonen, The Botanical Gardens, som er den ældste have af den slags på den vestlige halvkugle, Our industriområde Campden park og derefter videre til den maleriske Buccament Bay. Vi vil gøre et hurtigt stop her for billeder.
En kort afstand nord for buccamentbugten er bosættelsen af Layou. Layou var et af de franske første områder, som var de første europæere at bosætte sig i St. Vincent og Grenadinerne i begyndelsen af det attende århundrede. Allerede før da brugte karibien det som en af deres bosættelser, som det fremgår af de petroglyffer, der findes i området. Vi vil stoppe her i Layou for billeder
Vores næste stop er fiskerbyen Barrouallie. Barrouallie blev oprettet af franske bosættere i 1719, den første europæiske koloni på St. Vincent. Det var engang hovedstaden i St. Vincent og Grenadinerne. Med resten af øen gik den frem og tilbage mellem franskmændene og briterne, og de blev endelig i hænderne på sidstnævnte. Inden for Saint Patrick Parish er Barrouallie både den største by og sognekapitalen. Området er kendt for fiskeri og er berømt for "Blackfish". På grund af de omkringliggende bjerge er byen formet til et hul, som over tid har beskyttet byen mod vulkanudbrud.
Vores næste stop er Wallilabou-bugten, hvor åbningsscenerne af den første film af The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl blev filmet. Det er et af de mest besøgte steder for passagerer på krydstogtskibe.
Bare et stenkast væk er Wallilabou Heritage Park, som bliver vores næste stop. Det er et lille vandfald. Store samantræer dækker poolen og dets tilstødende områder, hvilket skaber et relativt køligt mikroklima for parkens kerneområde. Disse og andre planter skaber et habitat for flere fuglearter.
Efter en sjov tid ved Dark View Falls tager vi så vores rejse tilbage til Buccament Beach, hvor du har 1 time til at svømme eller snorkle.

For krydstogtskibspassagerer er vores udgangspunkt ved Kingstown Cruise Ship Terminal. Vi vil være på havnen kort efter du har klaret immigrationen. Så snart du forlader terminalbygningen, fortsæt med at gå ligeud mod gate 3, en person fra vores team vil vise et skilt med vores firmas logo. Highly recommend tour company offering a great range of trips. Good value for money. Always punctual and responsive to questions. Shaf, in particular, is fabulous. A beautiful Vincentian, inside & out 🥰
Our pirates of the Caribbean excursion was truly unforgettable.. Our guide "Chef" was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was well-paced, giving my family time to relax and take it all in. I highly recommend this excursion—it’s a perfect way to experience the beauty of the island.
Great tour at a very low price compared to others. It s basically gone around the island. The tour lasted 7 hours instead of 5.. a bit long without lunch, because the stops were 45 Min/1 hour instead of 15/30. Made a lot of bus (small max 22 people) on narrow roads and with many curves, up and down the hills but you saw a lot. Very good and nice driver and guide. Only in: left with 1 hour late and the stop at the beach terribe, to avoid: you have to bring towels, black sand no one has bathed and nothing much... it was preferable to return by ship...
Made a reservation 10 months ago. On the morning of the tour you will not find our reservation, taken hostage at the exit of the port not to go anyway with another operator. Taken away in the car, changed trucks three times. Since we could not go back because we were far from the port, we found ourselves on a tour that had already started halfway, completely different from the one booked. And finally paid full price, maybe even more than those who were on top of the bus. If you arrive by cruise ship stay in the ship, a stop to forget like the tour.
The tour as such was good, partly because you got to see something from the coast. The location itself doesn't show much of the location anymore, is quite touristy, costs additional admission, rather moderate. Afterwards we were still in a small pretty park (extra entrance), and then to swim on the beach. Fort Charlotte was interesting. Driver and guide were nice. Unfortunately, we, who were there at the beginning of the time window at the start of the tour, had to wait a long time for the start of the tour, probably also because the start time was described a bit fuzzy, and the last 5 guests only appeared at the end of the time window.
Learnt a lot about St Vincent and The Grenadines, it's sustainability, the fruits and vegetation on the island, it's people. We love St Vincent and the Grenadines and our guide assisted us in falling deeper in love with it. To you it off we visited Wallilabou Landing, where some parts of Pirates on the Carribean, The Black Pearl, were filmed. Truly beautiful island.
What an amazing tour. Wayne was polite and friendly on WhatsApp, making sure I had all the details I needed to join the tour. Deano was our driver and he was fantastic, as I was sat in the front I couldn’t always hear our guide, so he kept me informed. I didn’t catch our guides name, but she said “You can call me Sexy Lexi”. She too was amazing and so informative. My mum also loved it too. Definitely one to do if you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, and Topdawg Tours certainly make sure you have the best time.
This tour with Top Dawg was a great introduction to St Vincent and The Grenadines. Communication prior to the tour was also professional and detailed, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. My guide Weena was so enthusiastic about showing us her country, and our driver Dino provided us with safe and comfortable transportation. The Pirates of the Caribbean site is worth visiting if you’re an enthusiast, but just bear in mind it’s not been maintained overly well since the movie was produced. It was still worth seeing, but just set your expectations. Overall, I would recommend this tour with Top Dawg for those with limited time on the island and for Pirates of the Caribbean enthusiasts.
"Topdawg" was an excellent driver. The roads are steep and winding, but we always felt safe. He even had time to dish out advice about horn use. The fort visit was educational. Not a lot to see at the Pirates site ($2 charge), but fun to play in the coffins. The waterfall stop was our highlight. We also stopped at a beach and learnt about whale catching!
