Government House, der ligger på en 10 hektar stor ejendom, står på Mount Fitzwilliam og er den officielle bolig for Bahamas' generalguvernør. Det daterer sig tilbage til 1801, og denne imponerende lyserøde og hvide bygning på Duke Street er et glimrende eksempel på blandingen af bahamansk-britisk og amerikansk koloniarkitektur.
Nassaus huler blev skabt af havet for millioner af år siden. Området, der nu er hulerne, lå oprindeligt på havoverfladen, og havets bølger slidte gradvist de blødere dele af den sedimentære bjergart væk og efterlod, hvad der nu er store huler. John Watling's Distillery ligger på den historiske Buena Vista Estate i Nassau centrum. Ejendommen har udsigt over havnen og panoramaudsigt og ligger på mere end to hektar frodige tropiske haver med århundredgamle sorte oliventræer. Byggeriet af godset begyndte samme år, som George Washington blev valgt til USA's første præsident (cirka 1789). Antikviteter og tryk, der går mere end 300 år tilbage, viser Bahamas' rige historie og arv. På grunden er en 200 år gammel vandbrønd, angiveligt hugget ud af fast kalksten af slaver før afskaffelsen af slaveriet i 1833.

We had a really nice guide, showed us all the sites and explained all the aspects of the island. Would recommend going on the tour.
Very fun trip. Learned alot about the history of the island and how pirates came to be. Explored caves, and historic forts and plantations. Walked the queens staircase and saw the waterfall. Got to taster some local chocolate and wine and rum distillery, and explore the island with a very knowledgeable pirate driver. He was amazing and did a fantastic job! Would recommend to do this excursion if you want to get out and see some historical sights.

My husband and I did the Pirate Jeep Tour in Nassau. We had Two Tone Tony as our Pirate Guide! He told us so much about the history of the Bahamas, which is what we were looking for. He tailored the tour to our preferences and made it a memorable experience. It was nice to have a private tour with just the three of us and not having to deal with a bus full of other people. We would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get away from the crowded tours and have a more personal experience. - Ask for Two Tone Tony! He was great!!

Fabulous time. Ask for Captain Calico - he was brilliant - super friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. We were a family for 4 - 2 adults and a 12 and 17 year old - we all had fun and enjoyed the day learning about Nassau and Bahamian history. Pick up was easy at the hotel and back to the hotel. Definitely recommend!

We had a great afternoon with Captain Silver! I wanted to do something different and I am so happy I booked this private jeep tour of Nassau. We were picked up promptly at our resort in the “red revenge”. Captain Silver was kind, funny, ( we had lots of laughs) and a great story teller. We learned a lot about the Bahamian history, pirates, and the history of each place we visited. Some of our stops were The Queen’s Staircase, the caves, the distillery, and Tasty Teas. I highly recommend Pirate Jeep Sightseeing Adventure, it is great experience for all ages ( my 18yr old son really enjoyed it) ! Maybe you’ll be lucky to have Captain Silver as your guide. She was fantastic!

We enjoyed our day with Captain Yellowtail and Captain Dark Chocolate. They are both very knowledgeable and charismatic. We are a family of 6. We had 2 jeeps (doors on). This tour was a great way to see the historical points in Nassau, as well as make some fun stops (cigar factory, winery, rum distillery, chocolate shops). Best pina colada I have ever had was at the John Waitling’s distillery. Ask the Captains to take you!

This was my family's first time back in the Bahamas after nine years and we wanted to do something different. This was the perfect choice for a private tour. Captain Cannon was an excellent guide and offered us a complete history of privateering and pirating in the Bahamas while we rode around the island. He was incredibly personable, offered great conversation, gave us the ultimate insider experience of the island, and was a wealth of knowledge. We visited the Caves, stopped at the Queen's Staircase, experienced the Graycliff Heritage Village, and Captain Cannon made sure we had plenty of time to visit the John Watling's Distillery (a highlight for us). He provided engaging answers to any questions we asked about the areas we visited and we felt like we learned a lot while having fun. My family loved the experience and he made the most of the three hours we had together while prioritizing the things we wanted to do. Communication prior to the experience was straight forward and easy. Our guide arrived early to our hotel pick-up and was easy to find. I would highly recommend this tour and Captain Cannon!
