Vores første destination er turistbyen Sinaia, hvor Peles Slot ligger. Ankomme i Sinaia, engang en eksklusiv aristokratisk udvej, hvor vi besøger Peles Slot, sommerhuset til den tidligere rumænske kongelige familie. Peles Slot er et af de smukkeste museer i Rumænien og blev bygget i næsten 40 år af King Charles 1.
På vejen til Bran Castle finder du et af de ældste klostre i landet, Sinaia Kloster. Med en historie, der går tilbage 300 år, præget af et særligt forhold til den kongelige familie, er dette ærværdige kloster en must-see attraktion takket være sine to kirker bygget 150 år fra hinanden.
Vi fortsætter vores tur til den berømte Bran Castle. For at komme derhen skal vi gå igennem Prahova-dalen og efterlade elegante bjergområder Predeal, Azuga og Busteni, der løbende tiltrækker et stort antal rumænske og udenlandske turister på den vej, der krydser den hvirvlende Prahova-flod. Betagende naturskønhed er åbnet foran dine øjne, men den mest spektakulære udsigt er fra Busteni, hvor man kan beundre Bucegi-bjergens højeste toppe: Caraiman Peak, Costila Peak og Omu Peak. Også kaldet Dracula's Castle, det ligger ved indgangen til Bran-Rucar passet. En bemærkelsesværdig arkitektonisk bygning blev monumentet bygget mellem 1377-1382 på en sten 60 m. Efter Bran Castle besøg, gå til en lokal restaurant til frokost med friske salater, traditionelle supper, lækker sarmale, kød, kylling, grøntsager og andre regionale priser (drikkevarer og måltider på egen regning). Traditionel frokost kan arrangeres i Bran landsbyen.
Besøg Rasnov fæstning, som blev bygget i det 13. århundrede, kan bare være den mest fortryllende af dem alle! Fæstningen er den største i Transsylvanien og en af de bedst bevarede i Rumænien. Smukt panorama over Barsa Land fra toppen af fæstningen.

Amazing trip to Monestary, castles, and around Brasov and surrounding cities. Marius was an amazing tour guide, helpful, patient, informative and friendly. Highly recommend if you’re wanting to learn more and see more of Transylvania.

Mimi was our guide and she was fabulous ! Very knowledgeable and explained the history very well. Shame Peles Palace was closed on the day of our tour.
I booked three days before the tour for myself and a friend. We had a great time. Mimi has so much energy and told us lots of history about each site, and was very kind and patient in answering our questions, especially about vampires! A really great day and we felt that we got to see the main sites in a really fun way and without having to hire our own car.
Unfortunately the tour provider didn’t tell us to purchase tickets for Peleş Castle in advance so we missed out on entering this attraction but went to Pelesor (little Peleş) instead. Our guide Marius was very apologetic and did his best to make the rest of the experience worthwhile, and the tour operator has promised that he will message guests about this in future. It was in small print somewhere when booking (apparently) but we didn’t see it so were rather disappointed.

While we always try to assist as much as possible, it is not always feasible to send individual reminder messages to every guest. A nice excursion from Brasov in a minivan to Peles Castle, Rasnov Fortress and Bran Castle. We were picked up in the morning on time at the hotel in Braşov by ‘Mimi’ in their clean Mercedes minivan. Apart from us, only one other guest had booked the tour. So it was actually a private tour. During the trip to Peles Castle, Mimi told us stories from the region to make the journey time interesting for us. After about 45 minutes we arrived at Peles Castle. This was followed by a short tour of the outdoor facilities (the castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but we knew this) before continuing to the nearby Sinaia Monastery. After the tour we continued to Râşnov (Rosenau) and the fortress of the same name. This is currently under renovation, which is why we could only visit the outdoor areas. But even that was very impressive. Afterwards we made our way to Bran Castle. Once in Bran we had enough time for a lunch break and to browse the numerous stores. This was followed by an interesting tour of the castle. After we had finished, taken all our photos and organized a coffee for the return trip, we strolled back to the car. We were even dropped off right in front of the train station in Braşov after consultation, so we didn’t have to worry about it anymore. Mimi has given a very great knowledge of the history and at each station very interesting lectures. On our next visit we will get back to her. Thank you for the wonderful day!
