The lady who taught us how to make Pasteis de Nata was very friendly, encouraging, and efficient. Her cooking class was well-planned. Her instructions were clear. Our family of three and another family of three were there. Each of us got to work on the pastry and custard alternatively. We learned a little bit history of the famed Pasteis de Nata and had fun making it. The freshly baked Pasteis de Nata from this class was the best our family has ever had. The recipes were emailed to us after the class. Highly recommend this cooking class.
We had a wonderful time learning to make the classic Pasteis de Nata at Cooking Lisbon. Their recipe is very much like the "secret" recipe we tasted at Belem. Our instructor was fun and helpful. The pastries were delicious and we had more than enough to eat there and take back to the hotel with us. I am looking forward to making the recipe at home soon.
Did not show up for our course. Waited for 45 min for them to open up their shop, paid for parking and they never showed up.
We are sorry to hear about your experience, but we have no record of your booking, nor has there been any class that did not take place as scheduled. All our experiences run as planned, and no such incident has occurred. We kindly ask you to double-check the platform where you made your booking to ensure that this review is directed at the correct company. If you have any questions or need any assistance, we are more than happy to help. Best regards, Filipe Cordeiro
We have long loved pasteis de nata and were thrilled to have an opportunity to learn to make them. Filippa was a welcoming and personable teacher. She gave us very clear instructions and support. The end result was an overflowing plate of tasty treats. She sent home with us as many as we could take.
Very nice workshop provided by Pedro for making the Pastel de Nata. Good atmosphere, nice location and delicious end result!
My wife and I had the pleasure of being part of a group from Cunard's new ship Queen Anne, that visited Cooking Lisbon last week to learn how to make Pasteis de Nata, Portuguese Cream Tarts. Felipe could not have been more generous with his time or thorough in showing us how this fantastic tart is made, using his Grandmother's recipe. We had a truly amazing day and everyone was super impressed with the quality class. A trip to Lisbon is not complete without a visit and we would thoroughly recommend it. Many thanks to Felipe and all at Cooking Lisbon.
The chef didn’t show up and we were not notified. We took an Uber across town, was left standing outside in the rain, and had to take an Uber back. It was our last day in Lisbon and a cooking class was a number one goal of our vacation. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and poorly handled.
Ana was really lovely and funny and also a great teacher. We had a great time making the pastries and they were delicious. Thank you for having us!!
Very rude! They treat you like sheep. It is quite expensive compared to others right there. I will not come back
What a wonderful experience to introduce us to the delicious treat of Lisbon, Pastels de Nata. Everything was ready when we arrived. Our host did an excellent job of explaining what we were going to do and how it would work. His kitchen was perfect-the right size for our group of about 12. Everyone had an opportunity to participate in the process of cooking and baking. Then we enjoyed the fruits of our labors. Fantastic! Delicious!!
