Paris Gourmet Food Tour

We recently vistited Paris with our 2 children; Richard took us on an amazing tour of Le Marais and all of the delicious food the neighborhood had to offer. Richard was great with my kids, answering all of their questions and engaging them throughout the tour. We also had a food allergy in our group that was taken into consideration at our stops so we could all could enjoy the tasty treats! We had a fabulous time, and memories to last a lifetime!

We had a wonderful afternoon with Richard sampling chocolates, macarons, madeleines, and hot chocolate!! All his picks were special and he gave us a lot of history and background information while we walked around. Highly recommend a tour with Richard and this tour was a highlight of our trip!!

Richard incorporated into our tour, covered passages which was indeed a history lesson in itself. This was our third Parisian tour with Richard and each time we are amazed to see off the beaten path sights, beautiful ones that we would never have found. We love that about Richard. We walked up Rue Montorgueil a real foodie street and many more. The next day I asked for some more suggestions of sights to see and Richard gave us wonderful suggestions. His vast historical knowledge, easy going nature and ability to know exactly what we are looking for always impresses us. Oh yes we had delicious hot chocolate❤️ Thank you again for a wonderful afternoon Richard!!

Richard is so knowledgeable and entertaining and it’s wonderful to spend time with a local who knows all the best spots and has tried all the cheese! We make sure that we reach out to him every time we go to Paris! I highly recommend his tours!

Richard took us to 6 different food meccas in the 10th arondissement (near the Marais) and it was so much fun! Lots of wonderful foods to sample from one-of-a-kind merchants, with lots of local history thrown in.

My wife and I recently brought our 13 year old granddaughter to Paris to show her the wonders of a city that we have come to love. We had arranged a chocolate and pastry walking tour with Richard who, as we learned, has experience as a chocolatier and pastry chef. We visited shops that Richard considered the best of the best, which in Paris is no small thing. Did not disappoint. We sampled chocolates, macaroons, madeleines, and hot chocolate that were unimaginably delicious. Richard was very knowledgeable, funny and affable. The two hours we spent with him were delightful. At the end of the trip I asked my granddaughter what she liked best about Paris. Without hesitation she answered, Richard's tour.

What a lovely experience! Richard has created an experience that moves you into the local flair of the Marais district of Paris. We went on a Sunday afternoon, which is the time when Parisians visit the area. It was a refreshing escape from the tourist vibe. I was taken to a variety of shops where gourmet offerings were made available for me to purchase. The history of the shop and their offerings was provided, along with history of the area. The pièce de résistance was a visit to a top artisan chocolate shop. This is a “not-to-be-missed” tour!

Don’t question if you need to do this tour, just do it! I’m so happy that we chose to do this tour with our tour guide Richard! First, Richard has very good communication and will respond to your questions right away prior to the tour. Second, while on tour Richard is very knowledgeable and passionate in everything that he showed us. It’s like you’re hanging out with a friend and tour guide in one. Third, the food that we were able to taste was a great insight to Paris culture. We did several other tours with Richard, the photo op tour and photoshoot and he definitely didn’t disappoint. We were able to see other areas in Paris that you wouldn’t able to see if you were on your own. It was like a secret garden that was unveiled! If you do the photo op tour you will see what I mean! Lastly, we purchased the photo shoot option for our last tour. We had our photo shoot at the lourve at sunset! Which I highly recommend.. because your pictures will turn out so cute! It’s a different aspect of Paris instead of the Eiffel Tower. Richard was great to tour with and work with in the photo shoot! He returned the photos right away!! I highly recommend Richard and his tours! You will not be disappointed!!!! Thank you Richard!!

The foodie tour with Richard was one of our favorite experiences in Paris! He took us to areas we would not have otherwise known to go, introduced us to amazing and fresh food, and was so patient with any shopping or pictures that slowed the tour.

I went to Paris to celebrate my friend's birthday and to give her a unique experience since it was her first time in the city. I booked the Gourmet Food Tour for one of our tours because I'm a foodie and I was curious what it would entail. This tour was everything that I imagined and more! The tour began at a bakery and got tastier from there. During this tour we visited a cheese shop, a chocolate shop, three bakeries, one of which won second best bakery in Paris last year! We also visited a tea shop that sells over 300 flavors of tea, tasted Lebanese ice cream, sampled seasonal fruits, tasted macaroons, lavender honey, and even (my favorite) smoked salmon! This tour was truly a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Paris. If you love art, history, food, chocolate, ice cream, fruits, cheese, honey or tea, this is definitely the tour for you. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We are definitely booking another tour with Richard the next time we're in Paris!
