Queluz Nationalpalads
Dette monumentale palads og barokke kloster dominerer den lille by Mafra. Det blev bygget under kong João V, Portugals mest ekstravagante monark. Dette palads er lukket om tirsdagen
Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, bygget i slutningen af det 18. århundrede for at huse den portugisiske kongefamilie, er en historisk bygning klassificeret som et nationalt monument, som omfatter vigtige dekorative kunstsamlinger fra det 18. og 19. århundrede. Det var den portugisiske kongefamilies officielle residens i halvtreds år og blev en af hovedscenerne for møder i statsrådet, store banketter og officielle receptioner. Dette palads er lukket om onsdagen.

We had an amazing day with Felipe! He was super fun, friendly, and knew all the ‘ins and outs’ necessary to get us to all the areas we wanted to explore! He was a wealth of information …. Educated us on the history along the way during the road trip and during the tours of Sintra, Regaleira, Pena, and all the surrounding communities. He showed us so much- and was also an amazing PHOTOGRAPHER! Thank you Felipe! You were WONDERFUL!

Incredible tour to beautiful Cascais! Then, on to Pena Palace in Sintra! Phenomenal palace! Ricardo was able to share so much knowledge the entire day and especially about Pena! It is a must see when visiting Lisbon! We were able to experience and learn so much about Portugal that only a great guide can share! We thoroughly enjoyed the day and took dozens of photos to remember our adventures! Highly recommend!

We hired a private driver to take us to Tomar, about a 2 hour drive from Lisbon. Ricardo was wonderful. He met us at the cruise terminal, handled our luggage, and got us swiftly and safely to our destination. He speaks excellent English and was friendly and informative about Portugal’s history and culture. He even introduced us to one of his favorite restaurants for lunch. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Mr Rui, was wonderful. He answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable about the history of the palaces. The Mafra Palace interior was closed the day of our tour, so he drove us up to the area and we did pictures outside and then he took us to the royal treasury instead. The other two palaces were stunning and well worth visiting. Much less crowded than Pena Palace which we had seen several years ago.

The moment we were picked up at our hotel the history tour started. Miguel was amazing and so passionate about his culture. He listened and gave us exactly what we asked for. The palaces we visited were incredible and Miguel gave us interesting and specific details for each site visited. He took us to a fabulously amazing place for lunch that only locals would know about. I can not say enough about this tour. BOOK IT ! Ask for Miguel. You will not be disappointed.
