I asked for an early tour, my guide worked on the site also. She had intimate knowledge of the excavations and discoveries. This allowed for little known details… but the tour went quickly and I’d be remiss if I didn’t say I felt like I may have missed some things. It was an expensive tour, for the amount of time spent. I feel I would have benefited from the audio tour.

We had an absolutely fabulous tour of Knossos (2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 13)! Akrivi was an exceptional guide - super engaging (including for our kids) with a truly impressive knowledge of the archaeology, mythology, and political history, including very recent discoveries. She taught us so much that we never would have noticed or learned without the tour and did a great job weaving together what was believed about the site when it was first excavated, what archaeologists have since discovered, and how it connected to ancient Minoan and Greek cultures. Today we took a guided tour of the palace of Knossos with Maria, a guide who speaks very good Italian, very nice and captivating. She even managed to involve our 8-year-old son. A TOP highly recommended guide!!!!

wonderful experience. the place is a maze and there are many things you would very easily overlook if you didn't book a guide. our guide is a current archeologist working on the site and had plenty of stories about the process and findings. totally worth visiting such an impressive part of history

All around excellent. Very informative and our guide was very personable and really knew his stuff. We went at 5pm so there were less crowds and didn’t have contend with the mid day heat.
