We stayed in Kotor (Dobrota, just a km north) for 6 nights in early May 2026. The weather was very good and we were able to visit the stunning blue cave by boat and the walk up the imposing mountain using the free path (it’s a 6 hour round trip, best suited to fit walkers / hikers and not for the faint hearted). This destination is getting a lot of attention lately, however there are some things to be aware of, and we are safe in saying we won’t be going back. 1. Cats roaming freely, everywhere. Unfortunately their poos are everywhere too. 2. Narrow and winding streets that have no names, seriously! 3. No footpaths on most streets, pedestrians and cyclists beware. 4. Rubbish and cigarette butts discarded everywhere on the ground, disgraceful. 5. A foul smell emanating from underneath most footpaths / gutters / manholes. 6. Hustlers for boat tours and restaurants on every corner targeting tourists. 7. All the taxi drivers charge 60 euros for a 6 minute drive from Tivat airport. 8. Motorbikes & scooters fly through the narrow streets, it’s so dangerous. 9. Most roads are in a state of disrepair, with stones and metal poking out. 10. Many shops have front door steps that are on the road! 11. No fences or walls around water, this is not a place for children to run freely. 12. Cruise ships bring thousands of passengers each day, who take over the city. 13. The pollution from all the boats, cars & motorbikes is smelly and can be seen. 14. The old town is very dirty with cat poo and foul smells, such a pity. 15. The traffic often comes to a standstill as the roads can’t handle all the cars. 16. The bus ride from Kotor to Dubrovnik takes at least 3.5hrs due to border crossings.
I had an excellent experience with the shuttle from Kotor to Dubrovnik Airport. The service was on time, very comfortable, and the driver was friendly and professional. On top of that, the price was the best in the city, making it incredible value for money. Highly recommended!
Kotor Travels was very responsive to all of my email inquiries. It was easy to book and our driver was friendly and helpful. I would definitely use their service again!
Bobo was very helpful arranging our transport and communication was easy. We needed to go from Kotor to Dubrovnik going through the border. Bojan , our driver was very courteous and the car was clean and comfortable.
The driver arrived ahead of time and was waiting for us at our apartment and got us to the airport promptly. Very comfortable journey.
Had private transfer from Dubrovnik airport to Kotor in Montenegro. The service was really good and on time. Quoted price before hand which was handy as I knew how much cash to bring. Would recommend :)
Highly recommend this company. The communication was excellent - from setting up the initial trip to confirming as the dates were closer - and everything went very smoothy. The driver arrived promptly at the agreed on location and safely transferred us to our destination. Many thanks!

We were a family of 12 from Serbia,, Canada and UK. We used Kotor Travel for our airport transfers Tivat - Herzeg Novi - Tivat, We took a tour of Kotor, Perast, Budva, and we took a day trip to Dubrovnik stopping in Trebinje Bosnia on the way back to Herzeg Novi. The service was outstanding. They were very flexible with us stopping at the grocery store, giving us time for lunch, etc. The tour was wonderful and informative. Sandra our tour guide was by far one of the best we've ever encountered around the world. This one stop all services we needed for our week in Montenegro was a fantastic find and highly recommend Kotor Travel for their transfer services and tours.
