Lær den autentiske side af Sao Paulo at kende med en tur gennem Paraisópolis slumkvarter og få et unikt indblik i dens livlige ånd, især dets veritable kunstnere. Efter afhentning hos dig kører vi til favelaen, der bor omkring 100 tusinde mennesker. Stop ved hovedkvarteret for Community Association og lær dens historie og hovedprojekter at kende. Besøg radiostudiet og chat med lokale beboere. Derefter ankommer du til Berbélas mekaniske butik og beundrer hans kunst lavet af kasserede metalrester, der er givet liv til alle mulige former. Gå til billedhuggeren Estevãos hus, kendt som Gaudí af Paraisópolis. Gå ind i hans stenhus, fuld af tilbehør såsom kopper, underkopper og fade, som er en del af husets struktur og giver os fantasi. Få et insider-perspektiv, når du går gennem de labyrintlignende netværksgyder og gader, indtil du når Palmmeirinha-fodboldbanen, det første bibliotek oprettet i fællesskabet og et balletprojekt.

Turen starter ved Samfundsforeningens kontor. Besøgende vil lære om samfundets historie, grundlaget for "Fællesforeningen" og dets hovedprojekter.
Derefter vil besøgende blive ledt til lokalradiostudiet for at se et liveshow og møde nogle lokale talere. (rejseplanen kan være anderledes afhængigt af datoen og tidspunktet for turen)
Besøg Berbéla og hans mekaniske værksted, en stor plastikkunstner og beboer i lokalsamfundet. Berbéla bygger sine kunstværker af autodele såsom metalrester og kemisk affald, hvilket giver liv til alle slags materialer, der kasseres på hans værksted. Han laver kunstværker, som få kan diskutere om hans talenter.
Gå til billedhuggeren Estevãos hus, også kendt som "Gaudí af Paraisópolis". Når de er der, vil besøgende kunne komme ind i et smukt stenhus, fyldt med tilbehør og almindelige genstande såsom kopper, underkopper og fade, som er en del af husets struktur, hvilket giver det charme og en følelse af fantasi for de besøgende. Tag på eventyr gennem åbninger og huller for at nå udsigtspunktet, og nyd favelaens fantastiske kontrasterende landskab på tværs af det smarte område i Morumbi-kvarteret.
Besøgende vil gå gennem samfundets smalle gyder og nå Palmeirinhas fodboldbane og måske fange en klasse af eleverne i projektet "Rugby For All". (rejseplanen kan være anderledes afhængigt af datoen og tidspunktet for turen)
Gå videre for at se Lucianas gyde og fortsæt til "BECEI Library", som er det første bibliotek, der er oprettet i et fællesskab.
Gå gennem smalle gader i centrum af Paraisopolis på vej til Paraisópolis Ballet Project. Mød instruktøren og danseren Mônica Tarragó, som vil præsentere projektet og få besøgende til at se lidt af klassen og møde nogle elever.
Efter alt det, vil besøgende måske have en fremragende typisk brasiliansk mad på den charmerende "Bistro Mãos de Maria" på taket af fællesskabsforeningens hovedkvarter i Favela. (ikke inkluderet i prisen)

Carlos was absolutely incredible. Had such positive energy and wonderful knowledge of all of São Paulo. We have been blessed to travel all over the world and he was definitely one of the best. The guadi faces house in the favella can not be missed and can’t believe it’s not advertised it’s unbelievable.

Danilo was an excellent guide. Not only did he provide a lot of background information on the way there, but together with the G10 organization he was able to offer incredible insights into life in the Favela during those 5 hours— with meaningful encounters, great food, unique views, and authentic perspectives. I did a guided tour of Paraisópolis, the largest favela in São Paulo, and it was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my trip. My personal guide Adi was fantastic — fluent in English and deeply knowledgeable about the community. He helped translate from our local favela guide, Marcus, who spoke Portuguese, so I never felt out of the loop. The tour was informative, respectful, and gave a nuanced look at daily life in Paraisópolis — both the challenges and the incredible creativity that thrives there. I was amazed by the talent, art, and sense of community within the favela. At no point did I feel unsafe; instead, I felt welcomed and inspired. The highlight for me was visiting what locals call the “Gaudí of Brazil” house — a surreal, hand-built architectural wonder that felt like stepping into a dream. If you’re visiting São Paulo, don’t shy away from this experience. It’s powerful, human, and unforgettable — a side of Brazil that deserves to be seen and understood firsthand.

Never expected that we could get a chance to get to Favela. It was absolutely fun, interesting and unique experience. Our guide Carlos was professional and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour! This wonderful hotel in the centre of the old city of Avignon is highly recommended. Friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable room and close to everything you need. Stayed 10 days in a Privilege Room with Terrace - just brilliant to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Lots of room and added bonus of being outside on a rooftop with views of the old city. Great value for money. Well done Hotel de l'Horloge.

I went with my family, including two children, ages 8 and 10. This may have been the highlight of our trip to Brazil! Marcio was a wonderful guide, and the tour is well designed to highlight the special positive features of the favela. The art was breathtaking.
