Old Delhi Street Food Tour

Hver region i Indien har sin unikke street food, og Delhi er ingen undtagelse. Besøg vores yndlingsleverandører i Old Delhi og prøv de lokale specialiteter chole bature, dahi bhalla og aloo chat, samt parathas, lassi og den meget søde, men lækre jalebis og den lokale ækvivalent til risengrød og brød- og smørgrød. Alle disse retter er vegetariske, men kødspisere vil have mulighed for at prøve indisk stegt kylling i det summende Matia Mahal-kvarter mod slutningen af turen. Udover at prøve det bedste fra Old Delhis gademad, vil vi også tage på sightseeing, mens vi udforsker det største krydderimarked i Asien, tager en tur langs Chandni Chowk og stopper for at beundre den imponerende Jama Masjid. Vi vil absorbere stress og jag i de smalle gader, når vi besøger forskellige steder med rickshaw. **Bemærk venligst, at krydderimarkedet har meget mindre aktivitet om søndagen. For kl. 13.00-turen er der omkring 50 % mindre aktivitet, og for kl. 17.00-turen er den lukket.

Turen starter ved Gate 1 fra Rajiv Chowk Metro Station i Connaught Place.
Gæsterne får mulighed for at smage dahi bhalla (en traditionel yoghurt-baseret snack), aloo chaat, paratha og jalebi, som giver en fantastisk repræsentation af de mange unikke smage i det indiske køkken
Besøg Asiens største krydderimarked og smag chole bhature (en traditionel Punjabi-ret)
Se Jama-moskeen, islams hjerte i Delhi, udefra, og smag marineret kylling. Afslut turen med lækre lokalt fremstillede desserter som kheer (indisk risengrød) og shahi tukda (brød gennemblødt i mælk og nødder, som brødbudding). Hvis du har plads tilbage i maven, kan du vaske alt dette ned med nogle forfriskende lassi.

The food tour in Old Delhi was perfectly organized, with stops at some excellent places, and the food was outstanding. Naresh, my guide, was exceptional — his knowledge and kindness go hand in hand! Our tour with Naresh was amazing. He took us to many places we would have never discovered on our own and gave us a truly unique experience of real street food life in Old Delhi. The food was great, the atmosphere was quite unique and our guide, Naresh, was fantastic! He was full of information about not only the food but the area as well. Would definitely recommend for the unique experience and delicious food.
