Old Delhi mad tur med krydderier marked, templer og Rickshaw ride

Beskrivelse

Wow, look no further!! The best experience ever! My husband and I went and got to try safe foods, see beautiful temples, and experience a tour like no other. He was even able to arrange another tour we were wanting to do but didn’t have the time to do so he made some calls and assisted. Truly book this tour, you won’t regret it!!!
If you are looking for an Old Delhi food tour, this is the one to book. We explored the vibrant chaos of Chandni Chowk Bazaar and visited Asia’s largest spice market, which was a sensory overload in the best way possible. The itinerary also included a peaceful Jain temple visit and a trip to a Sikh temple to witness its awe-inspiring mega kitchen in action. The guide even showed us a beautiful, hidden alleyway that was absolutely perfect for Instagram photography! The street food was fantastic, but what really set this apart was our host. Throughout my entire travels, I've found that it's rare to get this level of depth. You don't just learn about India—you walk away feeling genuinely motivated. Hearing the host's story and experiencing their passion gave the whole day so much meaning. It’s incredibly difficult to find that kind of personal connection anywhere else, which is exactly why I don’t just call this a tour— it’s a true experience. Highly recommended!
This was one of the best experiences I had in Delhi. It combined incredible food, fascinating history, and genuine cultural insight in a way that no guidebook ever could. JD is an exceptional guide who clearly loves sharing his city. Every food stop was carefully chosen, and I had the chance to taste a wide range of authentic Indian dishes from different regions. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and selected with great care, so I felt comfortable trying foods I would never have ordered on my own. The tour was much more than eating. Walking through the bustling streets, visiting beautiful temples, and hearing the stories behind the places gave me a much deeper understanding of India's traditions and daily life. After the tour, I was so inspired that I joined JD's cooking classes and even bought his cookbook "The Art of Indian cooking" so I could continue exploring Indian cuisine at home. If you're looking for an authentic experience rather than a typical tourist activity, don't miss this tour. It's informative, delicious, and unforgettable.
Yesterday we spent an incredible day in Delhi with our guide JD. We walked through the city centre, visited amazing monasteries and ancient temples, and each stop revealed something new and inspiring. JD is not just a professional guide, but a truly bright, kind and interesting person. His love of Delhi, knowledge of history and storytelling made this tour special. It seemed like we were traveling around town with an old friend. Special thanks for the gastronomic discoveries. JD showed us incredible local places with food - simple, authentic and delicious. It is thanks to such places that you can get a real taste of Delhi. Thank you, JD, for this memorable day, for the emotions, impressions and atmosphere. We're really happy to meet you and we really hope to see you again. Such people you want not only as a guide, but also as friends.
JD was an amazing host, and this experience was one of the highlights of my time in Delhi. It was so much more than a food tour—it was a genuine introduction to Indian culture and everyday life. By the end, I felt like I had experienced the real vibe of India, not just visited a market and tamples. I tasted an incredible variety of food from different regions of India, and every stop offered something unique. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated that JD carefully selected food stalls that are both authentic and safe, so I could enjoy trying new dishes without worrying about getting sick. We also visited several beautiful temples, and JD shared fascinating stories and cultural insights throughout the walk. I enjoyed the experience so much that afterward I decided to attend JD's cooking class and buy JD's recipe book, The Art of Indian Cooking on Amazon so I could recreate some of the dishes at home. If you simply walk through the spice market on your own, you'll miss so much. JD brings the place to life with his knowledge, warmth, and passion. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to understand India beyond the usual sightseeing.
This was a great introduction to Delhi- riding the metro, seeing Sikh and Jain temples, and a mosque. We got to roll chapati with the Sikh cooks. We tasted various reputable street foods and saw the spice market and jewelers. We never felt we had to buy anything. I also recommend doing his cooking class!
Absolutely incredible experience! This 3-hour tour is the best way to see Delhi. We loved exploring the temples, finding hidden gems, learning the history and interests facts.. The highlight was definitely trying diverse foods from across different areas of India. Don't miss out on this! Find them on Instagram @foodtoursdelhi to see what to expect.
The tour was the perfect combination of food, culture and everyday local life. JD is an outstanding guide —knowledgeable, passionate, funny, and genuinely caring. From the moment we started walking through the vibrant lanes of Old Delhi, I felt completely immersed in the city. The food stops were carefully selected and absolutely delicious. I also sampled a wide range of dishes from different regions of India, making it feel like a culinary journey across the country in one place. I have to mention again, all food we tasted was included in the tour price! Visiting the Sikh Gurdwara and seeing its mega kitchen in action was a truly moving experience. The highlight for me was the spice market. Stepping inside felt like walking into a movie scene. There was an unexpected sense of calm, while the colorful piles of spices created an atmosphere unlike anything I had experienced before. It was one of those places that stays in your memory long after the visit is over. As a solo female traveler, I felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire tour. JD's personality, deep local knowledge and positive energy added a level of authenticity that would be impossible to experience on your own. If you want to understand Old Delhi beyond the typical tourist attractions, this tour is a must-do experience. Come hungry, wear comfortable shoes, and prepare for an unforgettable experience.
I had an exceptional experience with JD yesterday- a true, authentic and meaningful visit to Old Delhi. The food he selected was absolutely delicious from vendors he’s been using for years. The temples were special, particularly the Langer at the Sikh temple where @ 15,000 people in need are fed for free every day. At the end I asked if I could do his full-day city tour today. He wasn’t available personally at such short notice, but he set me up for another exceptional experience with an excellent guide and driver. Definitely going to take his cooking classes next time, and I noticed he has a bunch of other experiences on his website ExploreRealIndia Great value for money, and the little extra he charges compared to other tours is absolutely well worth it.
I appreciated having a knowledgeable and wise guide to help us understand and appreciate all that is going on here.
