Ohrid madlavningskurser

Beskrivelse

We have done a lot in our 7 days in Macedonia and Sonja’s cookery class was undoubtedly the best experience we had. We learnt so much from both her and her husband Zoran about cookery, history, languages and culture just by chatting over cooking and having coffee and wine with them. Communication and pick up was very smooth from our hotel as they came to meet us in their car. Their house is lovely and their gardens have amazing fruit and nut trees - some of the cooking ingredients were even grown in their garden. We made two big dishes and a dip and were incredibly full by the end! We were so touched by their incredible hospitality and will definitely be back another time to learn more. Thank you so much Sonja and Zoran!
Sonja was an excellent instructor and made us feel so welcome. We cooked and ate a variety of traditional foods and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!
Amazing experience, food was delicious and very traditional. The host was lovely and very hospitable, a must do when visiting Ohrid!
Sonja and her husband are very nice and hospitable people who make you feel at home during the whole activity. As we had a rental car we agreed on meeting at a gas station just out of town around noon and were escorted to the location the cooking class took place at (a nice and quiet garden compound). On arrival we were welcomed by their dog Whitey, a really nice guy! During the class we could participate in preparation of all dishes, so you won't get bored. In our class, we prepared Komat (Burek), some nice dips and Tavče Gravče. As plenty of food is prepared, I would suggest only having a light breakfast. If you have any food allergies or preferences, make sure to tell Sonja beforehand and she will make sure that the requirements are met. The class took about 3.5 hours that just flew by, as it was a lot of fun!
This was one of the most special experiences of my trip. Because it was so close to Easter, it ended up being a private 1-on-1 experience, which made it even more personal and meaningful. Sonja welcomed me into her home like family, and I was lucky enough to also meet her mother and mother-in-law, which made it feel even more authentic. We cooked together in her apartment kitchen, completely hands-on, with coffee, conversation, and so much warmth. It didn’t feel like a class at all, more like spending time with family, learning, laughing, and sharing stories. Her husband even kindly picked me up and later we all enjoyed a beautiful walk back into town together. If you’re looking for something real, personal, and full of heart in Ohrid, this is it. A truly unforgettable experience.
💕💕💕 you are always wellcome in our house
Maybe one of the best culinary experiences ever had! Sonja was amazing! A gracious and friendly host who welcomed us into her home to prepare traditional Macedonian dishes
We had the pleasure of a cooking class with Sonja this summer and had the most wonderful time. Pick up and drop off was super smooth. Sonja was incredibly accommodating of us being vegetarian and we cooked delicious dishes with Sonja providing some cultural and historical context behind the dishes. A beautiful setting, fabulous company and an absolute must-do if you are visiting Ohrid!
Sonja taught us beech and filled the paprika from the bottom. Common food in North Macedonia. A tasteful and - for Norwegian gourmets - strong dip that was used for everything from snack to dinner. But maybe so educational and experience-rich was the conversation over cooking and eating about life and culture in North Macedonia. It was a memorable afternoon with more understanding of the country. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience genuine Macedonian hospitality and learn to cook delicious food with the heart!
We had an absolutely wonderful time on our cooking class! We were welcomed with open arms into their home, and loved our time making traditional Macedonian food. We enjoyed our delicious lunch with our new friends and their lovely pets!
This is a must do activity in Ohrid! Sonja and Zoran were fantastic hosts, lovely and so hospitable. They picked us up and drove us to their gorgeous weekend cottage where we learnt how to cook 3 traditional Macedonian dishes which were absolutely amazing, so delicious and simple once you know how. We also sampled some rajika, local beer, wine and Turkish coffee which were all lovely. I definitely recommend doing this activity, as this is one of the best activities I have ever done, it was so much fun and we learnt so much! I can’t wait to replicate the recipes we learnt with Sonja for our friends and family back home!
