Rejseplan

Totally amazing experience in all aspects!
Our driver Daneeka was absolutely fantastic; the perfect mix of informative, friendly, and genuinely fun. She kept the whole ride upbeat and engaging, and anyone lucky enough to ride with her is in for a great trip. Both tours, Whitney and Oak Alley, were beautifully kept and thoughtfully preserved. The history held within those walls is heartbreaking, but so important to learn about. Overall, an unforgettable experience.
Daneeka is seriously an amazing tour guide! Knowledgable and kind, with a great and clever sense of humor, helped our family enjoy the history and reverence of the Oak Alley Plantation and the Whitney Plantation! If you get a chance to request a guide, I highly recommend Daneeka. The tours themselves are incredible! Oak Alley seems to give more of a “Gone With the Wind” slave owner perspective, while the Whitney Plantation is based entirely off of the perspective of slaves. Each experience gives its own taste of plantation life, and I am incredibly thankful to all of the people who allowed us to come today on this Juneteenth, 2026.
We took the Oak Alley and Whitney Plantation tours. Daneeka was our driver and she did a fantastic job telling us about the history and sights in New Orleans and on the way to our tours. She was diligent about making sure we were always on the bus before leaving and was really pleasant to talk to, providing information on additional things to do. Thank you!
This review is solely for the bus driver. Justina was awesome. She was engaging and very informative. She got us to the locations safe and she was very kind the whole time. Great to meet Justina today!!
A really good tour from Cajun Encounters to 2 plantations - Oak Alley and Whitney - that offered different experiences. Whitney plantation was particularly good for learning about the slave trade and conditions for slaves on the plantations. Lovely and energetic bus driver - Regina.
Daneeka gives the best tours!!!
Me and my wife did the combination tour for Oak Alley and Whitney plantations, while here in New Orleans. Our driver was named Regina and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we all had. As we traveled to the locations she would educate us on certain things we were passing so we could view it from the window. Definitely recommend this tour for an educational authentic experience.
Deep excursion into how slavery shaped our country
Had a great time, Daneeka was excellent with us
