First time ever to see the Northern Lights
Ivar was a knowledgeable guide who knew the best places to view the Lights. He was also good at keeping us all safe in the dark.

Beskrivelse
Slut dig til os på en lille gruppe-tur til Nordlys fra Bodø, hvor vi går alt-in for at give dig den bedst mulige chance for at se Auroraen. Vi følger vejret, skydækningen og Aurora-prognoserne gennem aftenen og bruger vores lokale viden til at beslutte, hvor vi skal hen. Hvis forholdene omkring Bodø ikke er gunstige, går vi længere ud i landet, nogle gange mod den svenske grænse. Vi har ikke en fast leveringstid. Når forholdene er udfordrende, men der stadig er en realistisk chance for at se nordlyset, bliver vi ude længere og giver himlen mere tid til at klare sig. Nogle nætter betyder det at vende tilbage til Bodø så sent som omkring kl. 2 om natten. Vores tilgang har resulteret i en aurora-besætningsrate på omkring 85%. Vi rejser i en komfortabel Mercedes 4WD varevogn med et maksimum på seks gæster. Vi vil dele lokal viden om landskabet og Auroraen, tage højopløselige billeder til jer og servere varme drikkevarer og snacks. Varmt tøj og pandelamper er også tilgængelige, hvis det er nødvendigt.

Bodø ligger lige over polarcirklen, og er derfor et godt sted at jage nordlys. Tag med på en lille gruppe nordlyssafari fra Bodø i bil, hvor vi begiver os ud på landet efter mørkets frembrud.

Searching for the lights… waiting and boom, FINALLY!
We had to wait a little and search some for the lights but when they came it was breathtaking. We wouldn’t have been able to find them without Ivar and Trinne. Ivar also shares his photographs after the trip which are in themselves worth so much. The whole tour was well worth the money!

Loved everything about this experience. We were hesitant to book due to it being early in the season and I’m so grateful we did! Our tour guides, Ivar and Trine, were amazing and did everything to ensure we had the best experience possible. They truly went above and beyond to provide a unique and tailored experience for their group. We loved the small group experience and getting to share stories, pictures, and laughs with other travelers from all over. Glad we did this because It really is once in a lifetime a lifetime to see the northern lights dancing! My advice to you- book the experience and set your phone down. Pictures will never do the experience justice. Ps: Ivar takes pictures and emails them after :)

September is early season, but actually among the best time of year to see the Northern lights (Russell–McPherron effect), not too cold and perfect conditions for driving (no snow and ice). Ivar is amazing!!. He...
Ivar is amazing!!. He knows the spots for Aurora hunts and planned the trip before. You would not be regret if being with him as he will teach you how to use the camera, train you to take photos of starry skies and take photos for you when the Aurora appears.

Great experience!
The organization was excellent and the guide was very friendly, competent, and dedicated. We received a lot of interesting information about the northern lights and the surrounding area. Since there were only two of us – because no one else had booked the tour – we were very flexible, which made the experience significantly more pleasant. The communication was great both in advance and on-site. We were informed from the beginning about the forecast for the northern lights sighting and the weather-related challenge of finding a cloudless sky. We decided to try it anyway, and it was absolutely worth it! The goal was to find a cloudless spot; after a drive of several hours, we succeeded in doing so. Unfortunately, we did not see the northern lights, but we did see an incredibly beautiful Milky Way, which made the experience worthwhile for us nonetheless. 🌌✨

Vielen dank Emma, It ws really a pleasant surprise also for the guide that you managed to find clear skies even on a night when weather forecast said `100 % cloudy everywhere`... Asfor these tours we need several things to actually see the lights; clear skies, good solar activity, patience and a bit luck. You for sure had patience! Next time; set aside a few more days, it is a bit gambling to plan for only one day - now you know how it works. Thanks for joining!

It was great!
Alex was very polite and he tried his best for us to see the Northern Lights, despite the fact that we didn’t see them, it was still a great adventure.

Alex did whatever possible, some (few) days the Northern lights simplay do not cooperate. Still we have never had a boring trip as we enjoy exploring. Searching for Northern lights is a game that takes planning, trying (and a little bit luck).

Northern Lights Bodo 3rd September 2026
Ivar, our guide, had great local knowledge, which meant he was able to take us to the best locations in Bodo to see the Northern lights. We were very lucky having a clear night. This was our one and only chance to see the lights and they didn't disappoint, they were amazing! There were only 3 of us in the tour group, so the trip was very relaxed and it was easy for us to ask Ivar questions about the lights and the local area. I highly recommend Ivar as a guide.

Small groups and relaxed that`s us! Still dedicated to find the best possible area, finding clear skies and gaps at the right time when/if lights start up. It is quite often a challenging game, also the participants need to contribute, being patient and ready for a long night... Thanks for joining!

Thank you Jake, Our first Northern Lights tour 1th Sept also included a few moose. Lights were OK, but due to a bit low solar activity not too vibrant. Most people think September is too early for seeing Northern Lights - fact is; it is one of the better months to see them... Thanks for being the first ones!

High recommendable trip to see Aurora Borealis.
Unforgettable. I recommend this trip with a local guide that knows all the tricks or places to have a fantastic experience with aurora borealis at Bodø.
