Every Canadian should take this tour so they can hear the stories and personalize those who fought for our rights, many of whom were underage. Very emotional day.
Hands down, best tour ever, the tour guide Mathieu made our trip the best we’ve ever had. His enthusiasm, knowledge and patience with all our questions was exemplary. He ensured that our every need was met, checked in regularly to make sure we were enjoying our experience and to ensure our needs were being met. We would go again and recommend you go as well, as Canadians we really enjoyed seeing the difference and how much the efforts of our nation made in the war effort. I was teary eyed and proud the entire tour.
Thank you for your amazing review! We’re really glad you had such a memorable experience on the Normandy tour with Mathieu, and that you enjoyed visiting the D-Day sites. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you again soon! - Alice
While this is a full day excursion, it is well worth the time to understand a historical perspective on what Canadian soldiers experienced at Juno beach. Our tour guide Clement was very knowledgeable and informative. The small group tour allowed for a more intimate experience. The air conditioned van in which we travelled was clean and felt safe. Bathrooms are not readily available at the Cemetery so keep that in mind. The Cemetery was beautiful and peaceful. So well kept by the people of France.
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you found the tour meaningful and appreciated the small-group experience, as well as Clément’s knowledge and guidance. We’re also happy that you felt comfortable throughout the day and could fully take in the significance of the sites. We hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future! Kind regards, - Alice
This is a great way to learn more about the Canadian experience in Normandy. We had Antoine as our guide and he was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and professional.
First off, our guide Mathieu was exceptional. He met us early and made us feel welcome. We never felt rushed, he let us set the pace, while covering the necessary visits. Extremely knowledgable on the invasion and all the points of interest. He shared what was most important to us and provided excellent maps and a binder of information which we really appreciated. The trip was very moving and emotional and we had time to reflect. Mathieu was very respectful and gave us space to explore on our own. He also guided us to experiences and moments that we would not have had without his professional service. From leading us to the graves of those we will never forget to a lunch that was excellent we loved every minute spent with him.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are very happy to hear you had such a meaningful day with Mathieu and that the experience was both informative and respectful. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again in the future. Kind regards, - Alice
It was great to see Juno beach and the museum and also the cemetery. The other stops were not my cup of tea. The place we ate was average and pos not working. Our guide struggled with English
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated visiting Juno Beach, the museum, and the cemetery. We’re sorry to hear that other parts of the tour did not fully meet your expectations, as well as your comments regarding lunch and communication with the guide. We take your feedback seriously and will use it to improve the overall experience for our guests. Kind regards, - Alice
Outstanding tour of Omaha Beach and D-Day sites. Our guides were communicative and responsive before we arrived. The pickup was easy to locate, and our guides welcomed us right away. It’s a 12+ hour day (depending on traffic) to do this as a day trip from Paris. But, if you’re tight on time and want to fit this in, this tour is a great way to go. We stopped by multiple gun and observation bunkers along the beach, went to Omaha beach and observed several of the memorials at different points along the beach. We went to the American cemetery - and even got a flyby from a USAF C-130 while they played taps. We had a great lunch stop and did some fun cider tasting, before ending the tour at the D-Day museum - which was as jam-packed with as many artifacts and stories as any military museum I’ve been to - and I’ve been to many. Our guides, Victor, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He taught us a bit about the whole Overlord campaign, and he had a personal connection to the history, as his great grandfather had fought in the very beaches we walked along. Highly recommend this tour if you only have a day to see some important history, and to see how closely connected Normandy is to the Allied nations.
We really enjoyed this tour. It was a long day, but well worth the time. Our guide was very informative. The timing was good. It was very emotional walking on Juno Beach and going in the tunnels where this all took place. It was special to have the Canadian students guide us though the underground tunnels.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear you found the tour meaningful and emotional, and that you enjoyed the experience in Normandy and with our guide. Kind regards, - Alice
We travelled with Blue Fox Travel from Paris to see Juno Beach, the Canadian visitor centre, the Canadian cemetery and some of the German bunkers still standing after World War II. Our guide HP knew his history and provided a nice tour and stories about DDay for 4 of us from Toronto. It was a long day but we had plenty of stops and guided informative visits at each point.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the Normandy D-Day tour with HP and found the visits both meaningful and informative. Kind regards, - Alice
