Kind, informative and friendly guides. I felt comfortable even in the darkness, as a beginner kayaker.
Beautiful and unique experience under the dark sky in mangrove forest! The kayak tour guides were awesome! You don't really need to know swimming to be safe and feel secure.
It was an excellent experience. You immerse yourself in mangroves in a nighttime environment. And the tour guides make the experience better answering all questions that you could have.
It was so much fun kayaking then enjoying the beautiful views it was like a dream come true seeing bioluminescent. Thank you to Emily and Jamie for being the best captains 10 star rating. Would recommend this to anyone going to Puerto Rico.
Left 90 mins before (4pm for a 530pm meetup) in our rental car from San Juan but bad traffic made us run behind. Had to go into rural Fajardo only to find that the address on the viator booking brought us to a neighborhood, not a kayak meetup. Messaged the tour operator 45+ mins before the meetup time with no response. Got him on the phone but no luck in having him wait for us. Then trying to get a refund for the $130 and they denied my request. I used viator in Greece but I will book direct going forward. Save your money and spend local.
Thank you for your feedback. We are a local company, and we take pride in supporting and serving our community and visitors. While we understand that traffic delays can happen, we encourage all guests to plan ahead and allow sufficient travel time to avoid any issues. Our meeting address is clearly provided in the confirmation email, and we are available to assist with directions when contacted in advance. Unfortunately, messages received shortly before the meeting time may not always allow us the flexibility to adjust, especially since delaying the tour would inconvenience other guests and impact the next scheduled session. We truly value your understanding and encourage guests to review all details provided upon booking to ensure a smooth experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again under better circumstances.
One of a kind experience. Something out of a movie. Definitely need to be able to kayak well especially since at times it is very dark or onward kayak traffic. The staff were all friendly, helpful and informative. I will never forget this experience
This was my first time Kayaking in Bioluminescent waters. The guides were great, very professional and informative when we got out into the bay. Wish we could have swan in the waters. But still a great experience! Highly recommend this!
The trip was very pleasant. the guides were good. the tour was on time and well run. we had our 7 and 10 year old on the trip and it went well, as we kayak together as a family regularly.
Cool experience to kayak at night, but crowded with many other kayaks and lots of noise. Also, none of the kayak companies seem to care about the homeless dogs who live at Kayak Village. We know that isn't relevant to kayaking but it would be really nice to see water and food bowls left out for the stray dogs. They are starving. We see no reason why the kayak companies are not making an effort to at least feed the dogs and give them fresh water.
There are many options in the kayaking village. They all appear to be about the same. This group was fine. Very safe and worthwhile trip. Definitely recommend kayaking at night in the bio bay. Joe was great and the rest of the team seemed nice. I was hoping to hear a little more about the area and more clear education about phosphorescence. When choosing a tour group, don’t fret over the decision. Find the tour that leaves at the time you want to go and book them. Advice : make sure the guide takes your picture. They just skipped us. At the end of the night, they uploaded photos to Facebook for many of the guests - but our group of four was left out.
