Ngamba Island Chimpanze Sanctuary, der ligger på Lake Victoria i Uganda, tilbyder en unik mulighed for at observere forældreløse og reddede chimpanser i et naturligt skovfyldt miljø. Beskyttelsesstedet blev etableret i 1998, og dækker over 100 hektar, hvor 98% af arealet er skovklædt, hvilket giver et trygt tilflugtssted for over 50 chimpanser.

Begynd din dag med en tidlig morgen afhentning fra dit hotel i Kampala eller Entebbe. Du vil rejse på vej til Entebbe Waterfront Pier, der ligger i nærheden af Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC). Rejsen tager omkring 1 til 1,5 timer, afhængigt af trafikken.
Ankomme til pier og tjekke ind for din bådtransfer til Ngamba Island. Efter en kort briefing og livjakke montering, ombord en speedbåd eller traditionel motoriseret kano (afhængigt af din pakke). Bådturen tager cirka 45 minutter og byder på en smuk udsigt over Victoria-søen, fiskerbåde og små øer.
Ved ankomsten vil du blive ønsket velkommen af helligdommens personale. En kort orienteringssession introducerer helligdommens historie, chimpansernes baggrundshistorier og helligdommens bevarelsesmission.
Transfer Tilbage til Kampala eller Drop-Off i Entebbe Efter dockning i Entebbe, vil din chauffør overføre dig tilbage til Kampala eller droppe dig på dit Entebbe hotel eller lufthavn.
