Vores første stop er Demeters tempel Bortset fra det imponerende monument, har du chancen for at besøge det arkæologiske museum. Vi fortsætter vores tur og har vores næste stop ved Damalas, en sød lille landsby i hjertet af Tragea-dalen, hvor vi vil nyde en demonstration på det eneste tilbageværende traditionelle keramikværksted og den traditionelle restaurerede olivenpresse. Derefter kører vi til Chalki, hvor du kan gå i maleriske gyder. Derefter går vi til den ældste byzantinske kirke Panagia Drossiani Vores næste stop er den mest berømte landsby Naxos, Apiranthos, "marmorlandsbyen". Vi kører mod den nordlige del af øen Naxos, og vi ender på den nordligste udkant af Naxos, ved Apollonas landsby, en lille typisk kykladisk landsby, ideel til svømning eller bare afslapning på de forskellige caféer ved havet. På vej tilbage stopper vi ved den imponerende Kouros-statue, og derefter går vi tilbage til Chora, efter øens nordnordvestlige kyst, og nyder udsigten over Agia-tårnet og de nordlige Kykladerne.

Den lille landsby Damalas, spredt på amfiteaterform ved foden af Lagos-bakken i Tragea-dalen, er synlig fra mange andre steder på øen og byder på en fantastisk udsigt.
Landsbyen Halki i Naxos (eller Chalki) ligger i det centrale område af regionen Tragea, det største olivendyrkningsområde på Kykladerne, 16 km fra Naxos by. Halki har en lang historie og var engang hovedstaden i Naxos, såvel som dets vigtigste administrations- og handelscenter.
Apollonas i Naxos er en dejlig fiskerby. Det er opkaldt efter Apollo, den olympiske gud for lys og musik, og har været beboet siden oldtiden.

A great day out ...well organised and saw a lot of the island Plenty of stops but it all fitted together well
Eric (our knowledgeable tour guide) and Demetrius (our rock star driver) provided us with a fun, uphill and downhill tour of their beautiful island, historical sites, picturesque towns, including visits to a pottery shop, olive oil tastings, and a sandy beach. It was a fantastic day, one of the best on our trip to GREECE. This tour almost did not happen has my husband was sick on our scheduled tour day and Eric so graciously was able to shift our booking to a couple of days later. Without this consideration, we would have left Naxos without seeing the natural beauty of the island and meeting so many lovely people. Thank you Eric and Demitrious for your joy and hospitality. We have so many lovely memories.
We really enjoyed the course of the day. It was really beautiful, the bus driver a really very experienced person, our guide very attentive, available and interesting. A great experience!
Ticket said "pickup at hotel" but we had to go to tour cos. offices and walk down to coach. Nice tour round and information from guide.

The tour guide was very informative. It is unfortunate that the weather did not cooperate as we missed the scenic view on the way back due to rain. A special thanks to the bus driver and his navigational skills on the narrow roads.

I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide Vicky and our driver Janus were superb (Vicky for her knowledge and interesting facts and Janus for skillfully navigating the narrow roads of Naxos.) Not only did I learn a lot about the island, but the stops brought us to some breathtaking villages and sights: I'd highly recommend the tour for people on a shorter holiday as you can pack in a lot of sights in a way that'd be much harder to arrange on your own if you didn't have the time. The bus was old and the armrests on our seats were broken. The guide was excellent. The stop for lunch was in a small town with really nothing to do. The lunch break should be in the Town before where there was more to do and better lunch options.

We chose this excursion because it had to have a Guide speaking French. Now the Guide did not speak a word of French. it is clearly a deception about the goods.
This was wonderful tour. We learned all about the marble production and carving methods in ancient times. I really liked the visit to the old town (Halki, I believe) and the visit to the small church. Our group was well treated. Our guide at times was hard to understand, however was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we all felt satisfied with the content of the tour.
