Navigation i Beagle Channel med minitrekking USHUAIA
Beskrivelse
Vi sejler fra den lokale turistmole og krydser den brede Ushuaia-bugt, indtil vi når Beagle-kanalen gennem Paso Chico. Der vil vi sejle rundt om Fuglenes Ø, hvor vi vil være i stand til at værdsætte Fuegian avifauna. Vi vil observere: Skúas, sortbrynet albatros, dampænder, cauquenes, kokkemåger og gråmåger. Derefter vil vi nærme os Isla de los Lobos, hvor vi vil være i stand til at observere søløver med et og to hår. Begge øer tilhører Bridges-øgruppen. Når vi ankommer til Les Eclaireurs Fyrtårn (The Illuminators), vil vi være i stand til at se kolonierne af kejserskarver og klippeskarver, mens vi lytter til historien om forliset af SS Monte Cervantes, som han spillede hovedrollen i i 1930. Vi tager en nedstigning i Puerto Karelo, der tilhører Bridges Islands, hvor du kan besøge ægte Yámana-skalmøddinger. Denne guidede gåtur varer cirka 20 minutter og koncentrerer os om et panoramapunkt, hvor der kan tages rigtig gode billeder.

Vi begynder navigationen med afgang fra vores bys turistmole, på vej mod Beagle Channel, mens vi bevæger os væk, nyder panoramaudsigten over Ushuaias kyst, ser de vigtigste bygninger, Maritime Museum (tidligere fængsel), Museum of the End of the World, industriområdet og Olivia og Cinco Hermanos bjergene.
Vi tager til Bridges Islands, hvor vi gør vores stop og nedstigning. Det er vigtigt at bemærke, at den gåtur, der foretages under dette besøg, ikke giver nogen vanskeligheder og er inden for rækkevidde af nogen. Ud over at have oplevelsen af at gå på en lille ø midt i Beagle Channel, er målet at værdsætte følgende tre grundlæggende attraktioner: Yámanas Conchero: arkæologiske rester af de oprindelige indbyggere i Beagle Channel. Kun få meter fra kajen er der pakhuse fra Yámanas- eller Yaganes-bosættelserne. Vi går ind i en af dem, og ud fra guidens forklaringer vil vi forestille os, hvordan de boede. Derudover vil et snit i væggen af skalmøddingen give os mulighed for bedre at forstå og observere lagdelingen af de kasserede muslingeventiler. Når vi går gennem fortolkningskredsløbet, værdsætter vi den særlige udvikling, som planter, blomster og frugter opnår i dette specielle økosystem.
Vi går ombord igen og sejler mod sydvest, og nærmer os Isla de Los Lobos, hvor vi fra båden kan nyde udsigten over søløver og observere deres permanente habitat i vidunderlige omgivelser. Fortsætter vi at sejle, vil vi tage mod Bird Island, habitat for magellanske skarver og kejserskarver og et privilegeret område for at få øje på marine fugleliv. Vi fortsætter mod Les Eclaireurs Fyrtårn, i øgruppen af samme navn, hvor Monte Cervantes-skibet blev vraget i 1930.
Returen vil være gennem Paso Chico, se Túnel og Fique Estancias, vi vender tilbage til Ushuaia, med udsigt til den imponerende ramme, som Monte Martial og gletscheren af samme navn giver byen.

Very crowded on catamaran. Landscaping is scenic but a little boring. Expected to see more wildlife than birds.

During high season, boats can operate at full capacity, but we always aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable journey. Wildlife sightings in the Beagle Channel can vary depending on weather and natural conditions. While birds are very common, sea lions and other marine life are sometimes seen along the route, though sightings can never be guaranteed. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us continue improving our services.
Much depends on the weather conditions, if the sea is rough it can be annoying. The views and sights of the animals repay the possible discomfort.

Not as interesting as I thought it would be, for me a little oversold. Slow boarding and not sure why, the line kept stopping and starting. Guide talks were mainly in Spanish with a cut-down version in English. The 'walk' is a 100m to a sign for the town name. We didn't really get to do the Beagle Channel, just a small part of it, I thought we would have gone around the coastline further. Got to see the sealions from the boat though. Boat size was good with comfy seats and big windows and lots of outside space too.

We had a great experience, it was nice to see the city from the water perspective. Walking on the island was nice as well. We were lucky with the weather. Unfortunately we did not spot whales.

It's a big ship, nothing spectacular but if you wanna chill on a boat it's a nice programme. There is no real trekking, it's a 10 metres walk. The provider pushes people out who don't pay for the photos the professional photographers do on the boat. We saw penguins from far and sealions too.

Well organized, comfortable boat, beautiful landscapes, guide in eapanhol and English. We left at 9:30 and returned 3 hours later directly for lunch at a dozen good restaurants in the region.

On a beautiful calm day it was a great introduction to the landscape as my first holiday activity. The island visit was just a short path out and back but taking a moment on the beach was nice.

We were able to see lots of animals from sea lions, penguins, cormorants, and even some whales. The boat was comfortable and even made one stop to get off and explore an island.
