Muthurajawela-vådområderne er et af de bedste steder at opleve både skønheden og fordelene ved et vådområde-økosystem. Ud over dets biodiversitetsegenskaber gør den store udstrækning af mangrove og anden vegetation vådområdet til et ideelt kulstofdræn, der hjælper med klimaafkøling. Denne mose er kendt for sit unikke og meget forskelligartede økosystem og er opført som et af 12 prioriterede vådområder i Sri Lanka, som menes at være opstået for omkring 7.000 år siden. Du vil tage to timers bådtur i dette fascinerende vådområde.

07.00 - Du vil blive mødt og hentet af vores TUK TUK chauffør og kørt dig til Muthurajawela Wetlands. 08.00 - Ved ankomst til udgangspunktet vil vores guide give dig en kort introduktion om bådturen og sikkerhedskrav. Derefter vil du starte din bådtur med den hensigt at få øje på så mange fugle, som du kan. Muthurajawela Wetlands understøtter over 192 forskellige arter af flora og 209 forskellige arter af fauna, herunder Slender Loris, samt yderligere 102 arter af fugle. Nogle af de identificerede arter har vist sig at være hjemmehørende i denne smukke mose. 10.00 - Efter at have været vidne til et af de prioriterede vådområder i Sri Lanka, vil du blive ført tilbage til dit hotel af vores TUK TUK-chauffør. 11.00 - Du bliver sat af til dit hotel i Colombo / Negombo.

A perfect trip for nature lovers. We did the early start at 08.00 which was best for the wildlife, and were lucky to have the guide who was great at spotting, and the boat to ourselves. Very enjoyable, loads of photo opportunities, and excellent information. The centre would benefit from some more up to date pictures of the flora & fauna but this did not detract from our enjoyment

Indika was a fabulous driver. Very thoughtful and pointed out sights.The experience itself was excellent. We saw lots of birds and our boat driver knew the waterways and wildlife really well
It was a very enjoyable boat ride and we saw many different birds as well as monitor lizards. The tour operator was very organised and communicated well to ensure pick up details etc.
Boat tour guide and driver very helpful and informative. Guide in particular was very knowledgeable. Tuk Tuk driver just ok.
Excellent tour. Friendly staff and the guide was very knowledgeable about history of the area, the wildlife and the fauna and taught us a lot. The pick-up and drop-off from our hotel in Negombo was smooth. The driver bought us refeshments when headed to the tour and on the way back took us to stops such as a coffee shop. We went in the morning after a very rainy day and because of this we saw dozens of water monitor lizards and various birds. Highly recommended.
Vidu was my driver and he was great, he went above and beyond and was really patient and friendly. The trip was great especially the beach which we had to go through the forest.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about birds and the environment. He showed us many different types of birds, very friendly and approachable, he even brought fresh fruit for a snack. It was an amazing experience.
