Mt. Tarawera Volcano Scenic Floatplane Tour fra Rotorua

This was one of the most memorable tours we have done for a long time. Pilot was awesome and great knowledge and skill and the office was keeping us up to date with flight right along the way (foggy day). We would recommend this as a must to see the Birds Eye view of this fabulous area 20/10!

Really fun seaplane tour of Mount Tarawera area, leaving from Rotorua harbor. Josh was very knowledgeable and fun to fly with. Only issue is that they really can't carry more than 3 passengers due to weight restrictions so the 4 of us were divided into two groups (which ended up being just fine!).

Lovely experience with great views. The pilot was top notch. He made sure everyone was comfortable and encouraged questions.

A fantastic walk. The excellent pilot was super gentle in addition to super professional. We recommend this tour for everyone who enjoys special places and special adventures.

Terrible company. Unreliable and unprofessional. We booked a floatplane ride months in advance. Two days before the flight we had confirmation of the flight going ahead. A few hours later we received an email saying the flight would no longer be going ahead but we could pay a lot more money for the flight to be taken by helicopter. We agreed to pay the extra money for the helicopter flight. They then informed us that the helicopter flight was unavailable because it was being used all day privately. Very bad administration levels, I hope their flight safety detail is better. I would avoid using this company.

What a fantastic experience! We would highly recommend the float plane trip. Our pilot was fantastic and explained exactly what we were seeing. The scenery was amazing and it was thrilling to see the volcano and lakes from the air. It was worth every penny and remains a highlight of our trip to beautiful New Zealand.

It was such an awesome experience to see the nature from above. Floatplane was on my bucket list and I am happy I ended up with Volcanic Air.

Great scenic flight with pilot Ben. Very smooth take off and landing. Window seats for all passengers. Scenery was absolutely magnificent. Ben assisted me into and out of plane as I have Parkinson’s disease. Very thoughtful and patient. Would highly recommend this experience.
