Great trip. Well worth the money. I'm so glad we booked this one.
All round great experience. Top end wine and food tasting followed by a very informative visit to a lava cave and a great hike on Mount Etna. Christian was a great guide.

Awesome experience!
Our guide Flavio was awesome. Super nice and answered all our questions. The tour itself was a great time and being able to see Etna walk along the craters was very cool. Would recommend!

Walk through an active volcano.
Due to weather conditions at certain altitudes of Mount Etna, sometimes the goal of seeing the sunset is not achieved. However, it is an experience that is worth it and thanks to the guide's explanations you learn a lot.

Must do excursion when you're in the foothills of Etna.
What a great experience and superb looking after of the group from the tour guide Flavio. We were picked up from our hotel and taken for a wine and olive oil tasting experience, which was great. Staff there were lovely and wines and snacks we tasted were delicious. Then we went to a lava tunnel but had a much shorter trek to see some crates on the side of Etna due to it getting dark, windy and rainy. Being scared of heights I was worried about the 1.5 hour trek, so was really pleased it got cut short. The bit was did had wide enough paths for me not to freak out and it wasn't too steep or difficult - enough to get a flavour of the amazing landscape and get views of Catania from 2000 mtrs above sea level. Really good experience so thanks to Etna Tribe and Flavio.

It was a great Tour with a great Guide. Every answer we had around Mt Etna or sicily he could answer with a nice Story around. Would do it again!

Fantastic tour and guide, Nando was a pleasure. And what a fantastic ambassador to take us around, his enthusiasm and easy going nature made it such a gorgeous way to spend a day in Sicily. Highly recommend

Trip Amazing but some false advertising.
I wanted to give this trip to Mount Etna a 5 star but could not due to the false advertising from global experience but sadly I was not provided a correct itinerary by Etna tribe by email. The guide and experience of going to mount Etna and going to the larva cave is 5 stars but what reduces this to only 2 stars is that it states when we booked one of the stops would be. Enoteca Dell'Etna - Via Paterno' 30, Palmento Arena, Ragalna, 95030, Italy, (IT) - sampling of typical products in a local farm And from looking at videos and other reviews online the farm is indeed a visit included, and a stop that looks amazing. so I was kinda disappointed when I found out that the local tasting was from a small touristy type shop at the base camp of mount etna with tiny sample cups of wine and tiny stick tasters of honey and pistachio cream. Plus it felt very rushed. I don’t normally like leaving negative reviews but I must do this time to make etnatribe aware of this false advertising on global experience excursions website or if we were meant to go to the farm for local food tasting then make them aware this was not the case and not visited. I would recommend the trip if you want to just see mount etna but if you wanted a full experience with farm and tasting check with Etna Tribe first as there are other reviews mentioning no visit to the farm Looking forward to etnatribe response

The tour you booked is primarily an Etna experience, with two additional stops to complement the experience: one at a lava cave and one for a tasting of typical local products. Please note that this is not a wine-tasting tour. The dedicated wine experience is available on Viator under the name Mt Etna and Wine Tasting Tour from Catania, at a different price from the half-day tour you purchased. For the Etna sunset tour from Catania, the tasting is generally held at Enoteca dell’Etna, where guests can sample products such as olive oil and honey. We are currently unable to trace your specific booking, so unfortunately we cannot verify directly what happened on that particular day. It is possible that logistical requirements led the guide to use another location of the same local producer, in order to keep the focus on the main activity: the sunset on Mount Etna. Great experience, definitely worth it. Our tour guide Italia was wonderful, very kind and accommodating.first stop at a lava cave was very cool, then quick stop to try local products at the bar before hiking up the Volcano. Even the easiest trails can be a little steep so wear sensible shoes.

Totally recommended tour!
Our tour guide Stef Mario was so nice and knowledgeable. Tour started with tasting, continued with trekking. Timetimable was followed properly. Everything was so beautiful. One recommendation is; we purchased our tickets with my friend separately thinking that we will be at the same tour; however there were two different tours at the same time so we got separated. However our tour guides were sooooo kimd and understanding & they found a solution. Organization may put an informative text (like there might be more than one event at the same timeslot) in order to avoid that kind of situation. Thank you!
