Beliggende blandt de sydlige alper, over en lille alpeby, der er hjemsted for vores længste gletsjer og mange berømte vandrestier. Tag på en en-dags lille gruppe tur til Mount Cook. Med afgang fra Queenstown vil du opleve de unikke alpine landskaber i de sydlige alper, mens du rejser ind i Mackenzie Country og Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. Nyd fritiden i Mt Cook Village, hvor du kan vælge at udforske det utrolige landskab, på en lokal kort vandretur, naturskøn flyvning eller afslappet eftermiddag tilbragt i landsbyen.

Efter at have forladt Queenstown er vores første ikoniske stop Cromwell, 'Fruit Bowl of the South' og dens store frugtskulpturer. Cromwell er centrum for Central Otago, den berømte vinregion for Pinot Noir.
På køreturen til Mount Cook rejser vi gennem det dramatiske Lindis Pass. Forundre det spektakulære højlandskab, når vi passerer fra det centrale Otago ind i Mackenzie-bassinet.
Vi gør et kort stop ved den maleriske landsby Omarama, hvor du har mulighed for at få en snack eller mad med til frokost i Mt Cook. Herfra går vi forbi Twizel-kanalerne, på vej mod det lyseblå vand i Lake Pukaki.
Før vi går ind i Mount Cook Village, stopper vi langs bredden af Lake Pukaki, den største sø i området, og viser stolt New Zealands højeste top, Aoraki/Mount Cook.

Vælg at gå en tur til Lake Mueller for at få et nærbillede af Mt Seftons gletsjere, vandre langs Hooker Valley Track eller tage chancen for at opleve en af de utrolige aktiviteter, Mt Cook har at byde på.
Vi starter derefter rejsen tilbage til Queenstown. Efter en travl dag med seværdighederne kan du tage chancen for at slappe af og nyde den utrolige natur. Vi vil give dig chancen for at strække dine ben under hele rejsen og returnere tilbage til Queenstown ca. 19:30.

- Mount Cook er et alpint miljø, og det er vigtigt at medbringe varmt tøj, en regnjakke og behagelige sko til at gå.
- Hooker Valley Trek er en DOC (Department of Conservation) vandresti, og vi anbefaler kun dem med medium kondition at gennemføre hele stien (afventer vejret). Vi har en streng afgangstid fra Mt Cook Village, og alle vandrere skal vende tilbage til det tidspunkt.

It was wonderful a experience, and especially with kailen, he told lot of stories about Queenstown and bit of history. he’s calm and entertaining.
The trip was amazing and contained a few highlights, including the hooker valley trek and a paid upgrade option to experience alpine snow landing. Everything was smoothly organised and run by the tour operators (altitude) and our guide for the day, Sinchan, was amazing, helpful and super knowledgeable.

Tour to Mount Cook was fantastic. Lovely sunny day meant beautiful views both along the way and at Mount Cook. Walked to Hooker Trail for more great views. James and Nicole were great- friendly and informative. Altitude tours ran everything well from great communication before tour, pickup on time and comfy van. Will tour with them again!!.

We absolutely loved our Mount Cook day trip with Stuart and Caleb! We got lucky with a beautifully clear day and our time at Mount Cook and the Hooker Valley Track walk and Alpine Center lunch was perfect. Our guides had entertaining and informational commentary and we enjoyed getting to chat with them and learning more about the area. We even had time for a few fun stops on the way and got to see more of the landscape. We would 100% book with Altitude again!

Our first tour going to Mt. Cook was full of knowledge, smiles and laughter even when we were still in the van. SinChan deserves a pay rise, promotion and an award. He is such a passionate tour guide. His vibe is just amazing. We had a number of tour guides before but this man is just outstanding in all aspects. Absolutely incredible day tour from Queenstown to Mount Cook National Park. Sinchan was our driver and tour guide and would absolutely recommend him. He was energetic, fun and very knowledgeable! The drive itself was beautiful as was Mount Cook National Park. As per Sinchan’s recommendation we did a 25 minute helicopter ride which was an experience I recommend for all! Landing ontop of a mountain and looking down at a glacier was incredible! Definitely the highlight of the trip

We had such an amazing time to Mt Cook yesterday. We made multiple stops along the way with the most stunning views. We were also lucky enough to do a 25minute helicopter ride which was such a bucket list moment. We couldn’t recommend our tour guide enough - Sinchan was so knowledgeable and made our experience so smooth and comfortable.

Did the tour to Mt Cook and option of 25 min yesterday 24 April. Tour guide Chelsea was very knowledgeable and ensured we all had a great time. Even stopped to get an awesome sunset photo on the way back to Queenstown. Recommend the Heli ride ! Bonkaz!
