Dette er en afslapningstur. Jeg har specifikt designet denne tur til turister, der ønsker at vide mere og få god historisk information om kulturarvssteder i Anuradhapura, buddhisme, buddhistisk kultur, åndelig oplevelse og god cykling. Jeg har tilføjet nogle særlige landsbyveje til denne tur for at se rundt med natur, planter, nogle fugle og dyr. Turtiden ændrer sig i henhold til gruppemedlemmerne. Lovamahapaya er en bygning beliggende mellem Ruwanweliseya og Sri Mahabodiya i den antikke by Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Det er også kendt som Brazen Palace eller Lohaprasadaya, fordi taget var dækket med bronzefliser.

Denne gigantiske menneskeskabte dam kaldet "Eth Pokuna" eller "Elephant Pond" ligger tæt på Lankaramaya i Anuradhapura. Dette er en rektangulær dam, 159 meter i længden 52,7 meter på tværs og 9,5 meter i dybden med en kapacitet på 75.000 kubikmeter vand. Eth Pokuna litterære betyder "Elefantdammen" på grund af dens skala. Dette er en del af landskabet i det massive Abhayagriya-kloster, der spreder sig over 500 acres. Wow! What a day! Ajee provided a wonderful balance of information about the history of the sites and information about Buddhism today. He was very considerate and kept us very well fed and watered! Ajee was a fantastic guide who gave us such a great insight into not just Anuradhapura but Buddhism more broadly and its philosophy and practices, which explained many questions we had had from our time through Sri Lanka. He is an incredibly kind, generous and thoughtful man, and we would highly recommend his tour for everyone! The tour had a very relaxed pace which we definitely appreciated, with regular stops for food and drinks. Doing the tour by bike is definitely the best because it provides a great connection to the surroundings, and it's very peaceful. Can't recommend highly enough!

The bike tour with Ajee was really great! He knows a lot about the history of Buddhism, but also showed us other pieces of culture such as certain plants and what they did with them. Very interesting! He had made delicious things for us and were even spoiled with homemade roti at the end of the tour.

Ajee is a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, passionate about Buddhism and Sr Lanka and really bought the sites and the local way of life to life. We were contacted the night before to reconfirm and the meeting place was highlighted and easy to find. The day was at a relaxed pace and Ajee was able to answer all of our questions and also provide so much more information. The tour with Ajee was amazing! You can choose your pace so we went at a very relaxed pace and ended up spending all day around the heritage site. He provided snacks, coffee, water and lunch which was all delicious. He is very passionate about Buddhism and gave us lots of information. We spent more than 4 hours with Ajee today. Pick-up 2 steps from the site with bikes. There were 5 of us with our grown children and he was particularly attentive to answering all our questions about the site, about Buddhism, and even about some first meditation exercises for one of our daughters! Ultra interesting guided tour to understand the site and the history, very pleasant bike ride, stop to drink because it was very hot. Frankly to be recommended with your eyes closed. Thanks again

We had such a great tour with Ajee, he is very flexible to work around your timeframe for the day. His passion and knowledge of the world heritage sites and Buddhism is exceptional. We also were treated to a delicious Sri Lankan morning tea and lunch to finish off the tour. We biked around 10km but you can do more or less. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
