Tour guide was excellent. It was very interesting to see exactly where the events took place. We enjoyed it very much
This Sam Peebles guy is horrible. 1. He made us cross the street unsafe without using the red light. 2. He yelled at us for not paying attention. 3. He quit without finishing the experience. 4. He asked for tips right in the beginning since he has to go slow so that I can translate for my family even though this doesn't change the total experience duration. 5. He constantly picks fight with strangers standing nearby about them eavesdropping. 6. He sprays a lot of saliva when he talks. We see many better guides along the way. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!
Mr. Than was the only person in his party who spoke english. He said he would translate. He tried at first but translating is hard and he stopped. The other members of his group became bored of course and just started walking around. I gave him the complete show and stopped the tour. Yes, I was abrupt which was my mistake. Once again, these personal attacks are unacceptable. Dont like the tour? Fine, you have a right to complain. Calling me names shows poor character.
Sam is incredibly knowledgeable about the assassination of JFK. He is theatrical and will entertain you during the experience. He took pictures of us in the areas we stopped, but there was less walking than we expected but the spots we stopped had significance to the story. If you’re looking to learn more about the event this is a great route to go.
Due to a technical error i was the only person for this mornings tour. I offered to cancel/reschedule but he kindly declined. I expected to finish early or get a slimmed down version of the tour but Sam spoke as passionate and patiently as if there were tens of paying customers. Being a European woman alone (husband is at a conference) i felt a bit overwhelmed and slightly intimidated by the city of Dallas and was very happy to have found this tour. Sam has a talent for storytelling incl his extensive historical knowledge and his theatrical delivery. I forgot where i was, no longer noticed the people around me, i was IN the story. He gave me a few minutes of his own background and asked for mine and then the tour started. That put me at ease from the start. He adapted speed or language when he saw i didnt know the meaning of a specific word while inviting me to give my view on the different storylines. He was thoughtful and offered to sit down or stand in the shade at several different moments. Also he kindly offered to take photos of me with my phone at the location since i was alone. To me it felt like meeting up with a friend. Time flew and he didnt look at the clock once ! I felt embarressed to not have some cash for a tip and asked for his bank details or offered him a coffee but he was very humble and declined. He made me feel comfortable and safe and treated me with respect. This man gives you a lot of value for money! Definitely RECOMMEND. Dutch: Sam is een enthousiaste verteller met veel historische kennis. Hij neemt je mee in het verhaal en vertelt zo kleurrijk dat je de tijd en mensen om je heen vergeet. Het was alsof ik er bij was in het moment vd moord op JFK. Ik was de enige deelnemer aan de tour vanwege technische problemen en alsnog vertelde hij ruim een uur langer als afgesproken en beantwoordde geduldig al mn vragen. Met de nodige humor waarin hij zichzelf en de Amerikanen niet schuwde. AANRADER! French: excuses moi pour les erreurs; mon mari est français, pas moi :-). Jai vraiment adoré cet tour. Jetais tout seul a cause d'un erreur technique mais Sam a fait bcp bcp d'effort. Il est gentil, enthousiast, un expert en histoire et très passioné par le sujet, même après au moins 11 ans de tours. Il t'emmene dans un histoire vrai, comme un film. Jai oublié le temps et les gens autour de nous. Cetait mon seul truc préferé pendant ma visite à Dallas. NE MANQUE PAS!
Sam is AMAZING. He knows so much and is skilled at sharing all kinds of data and information. His passion is contagious. Fantastic experience!!
Our tour guide Sam had a poor attitude for most of the tour. Left us feeling assulted and like he was paying us, instead of us paying him. Sad way to end our trip.
I have no idea what these people are so upset about. If they had told me in person that they were unhappy or felt used I would have given them a refund. Instead they chose the paasive/aggessive route and left this weird and untrue review. I have given them a full refund.
This is not a long walking tour because so much occurred in a relatively small area of Dallas Texas.
This was a good tour. There was a lot of information and we learned a lot. Our tour guide was entertaining and it was nice that it was like our own private tour.
Sam did a wonderful job with our tour. He was energetic and very knowledgeable. We learned many things we did not know about the JFK assassination. Thank you, Sam!
This tour takes over 2 hours and is well worth the money. Our guide Sam Peebles was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and funny. Sam took some great photos of us and was happy to share his extensive knowledge.
