During our many years of travel we have never found a tour as good as this one. Stepan, our guide was easy to communicate with once we booked. He picked us up, with our luggage, at our hotel in his spotless van and along the way to Montserrat provided general information on the region. At the beginning of our tour he gave us options so that we could have the exact experience we wanted. He was able to secure tickets to the boys choir performance knowing that we really wanted that opportunity. First we hiked the region at a pace that was comfortable for us so that we could enjoy the journey. We toured the Basilica, enjoyed the boys choir performance, spent time in the museum and finally enjoyed a sampling of local cheese , bread and honey at the farmers market. Stepan clearly knows this venue very well which enabled us to have an enjoyable visit without any of the annoyances that sometimes occur when tourist visit a popular site. It was a fairly crowded day but we never felt overwhelmed or encumbered by the crowds. After the tour Stepan dropped us off at the cruise port so we could embark on our cruise. It was the best day we spent in Barcelona and a great value for the cost of the tour. If you are lucky enough to book with Stepan I promise that you will not be disappointed.
Had a great day with Stepan as our guide! He was punctual, very informative, and flexible according to the needs of our group. We did a small hike down the mountain and learned about the history of the city and the mountains. Saw the monastery and museum and overall had a wonderful time. I would recommend the tour and Stepan as a guide and will be back to book more tours with them!
Stephen was very knowledgeable and customized the tour for my physical limitations. The little side stop at the farmers market was great. He is well known to all the folks at the site since he takes groups there 3-4 times a week
Montserrat is magical! Stefan picked us up at our hotel. It was a beautiful drive from Barcelona. Stefan is an expert on the area. The cathedral and the Black Madonna are fascinating. The museum was full of art from the masters. Picasso, Monet, Dahli and more.
This one of the most beautiful tours we have taken. Our guide, Stephan Prindis, was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable and catered the trip to our needs. Next time in Barcelona we will be sure to request him.

Amazing experience. Stephan was an incredible guide and was the perfect blend of knowledgeable and fun. He managed to engage our 14 year old and 8 year girls in the history and beauty of Montserrat with humor and wit. The monastery is just beautiful with breathtaking views. A fabulous day out. Stepan picked us up from the hotel at an accomodating hour and chatted to us on the way to Montserrat answering all our questions. He was patient and clear in explaining our day to us and gave us several choices of walks we could do based on our ability. It was hot and he was attentive and took great care of us. His commentary was interesting on a wide range of things from the history to the geology. He provided plenty of water. The only time he wasn’t with us was in the museum (or if you see the black Madonna). We spent around 7 hours with him (including about 2hrs travelling to and from Barcelona). Stepan was great fun to talk to and was interested in hearing about us and our country. We highly recommend him, it was a great day trip from Barcelona.
A family group of 7 joined Stephan for a tour of Montserrat (and hike) and local dining. Stephan planned the outing very well, matching our requirements, ages and interests. His knowledge and level of explaining history and facts was spot on. He even found us a great local diner when the place we wanted to go to was full. The van was large and comfortable. Very highly recommend you use Stephan when you come to Barcelona.

We had a wonderful time on this private family tour of Montserrat! From the moment we were picked up, everything was smooth and well-organized. Stephan was friendly, knowledgeable, the scenery at Montserrat was absolutely stunning, and having a private guide made it easy to go at our own pace and really soak it all in. This was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!
