Tag på en tur for at se de bedste moderne arkitektoniske symboler i Rio. Startende med hotelafhentning tager vi dig med på en uforglemmelig kulturel og historisk tur. Den sydlige zone i Rio er berømt for den lange kyst og solrige strande. Det er også et sted fuld af vartegn for moderne arkitektur. Vi kan se dem ved at slentre gennem Ipanema og Copacabana-stranden. Lyt til guidens instruktioner for at identificere de ikoniske bygninger. Vi fortsætter turen til Parque Guinle for at se et anderledes eksempel på moderne arkitektur. SESC Copacabana er en dyrebar skjult arkitektonisk moderne bygning, som folk tager for givet. De fleste mennesker stopper aldrig foran den for at beundre dens form.
Mens vi slentrer gennem Copacabana-stranden, stopper vi foran Museu da Imagem e do Som. Det er stadig under opførelse, men vi kan sætte pris på bygningens moderne stil.
Fra Copacabana tager vi til Laranjeiras, et anderledes kvarter i Rio. Vi passerer gennem porten og beundrer træerne, pundet og blomsterne i området.
Fra Laranjeiras tager vi til Feira de São Cristóvão. Beundre den interessante form af Feira de São Cristóvão. Stop for en hurtig bid (medfølger ikke).

Capanema-bygningen ligger i Rios centrum og er et smukt eksempel på moderne kunst.
Formen på katedralen gør den så unik sammenlignet med andre kirker i byen.

A guide with little knowledge of architecture led a ordinary walking tour of the city. I guess I just got a bad guide—I wasn't able to visit Pedregulho, which is mentioned in other reviews. While it’s true that it wasn’t guaranteed in the itinerary, I felt like a waste of money. What's more, I was able to go there on my own easily a few days later. What was the point of the tour, then?
I bought a full day tour. The guide told me it was 4 hours. It was a total rip offf. I felt the guide had little knowledge and cursive information. He had little interest in explaining much and was more interested in texting on his cell phone. I think Viator should vet these people better or at least give them some training. I’ve been on other Viator Art and architecture tours around the world and they have been excellent.
A beautiful day of visits to the main modern buildings of Rio (Mam, Mac, Capanema ..) with detailed explanations from our guide: the very friendly Monica. We have learned a lot about the history of Rio and modern architecture in Brazil in impeccable French! Thank you!
Great tour about modern architecture in Rio with lots of highlights by Oscar Niemeyer and other modernist architects! Our guide Monica was super flexible and also accommodated our wishes to see some buildings from the older parts of the city, such as Praça XV, Cinelândia and the São Bento Monastery. Overall, she was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions we had about the city and its history. We can absolutely recommend to not only visit the standard sights such as Christ the Redeemer and the Sugar Loaf but instead learn more about the diverse history of Rio and the corresponding architecture of the different epochs.

We spent two days with Monica and driver Greg to discover the architecture of the wonderful city of Rio. Monica provided a lot of background in English to understand the context of the concept of buildings. She also responded to special requests here and had very good knowledge. We were also able to talk to her well about the political situation, historical developments. It was fun and we learned a lot.
