Mitaki Peace Tour ud over det centrale Hiroshima

Beskrivelse

This was a great tour! Yukie was so knowledgeable and she is the sweetest person. We loved going to the Mitaki temple. It was so serene and beautiful there. Absolutely beautiful scenery and waterfalls. The best part about it is that it was not crowded like the other more popular temples. This allowed us to really enjoy it more than an overly crowded temple. We enjoyed all the activities she prepared for us along with the yummy treat. Thank you so much!

Yuki gave an amazing tour as we were able to reflect on those who lost their lives that day by not only visiting a few sites around the Atomic Bomb Dome but then to a quiet experience at the Mitaki Temple.

This tour is highly recommended for those who want to avoid the beaten path or who would love to walk in beautiful nature while learning more about Hiroshima’s history. The guide will share detailed stories with you that even many locals don’t know.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I am very happy that you enjoyed the nature and the historical stories. I believe that Mitaki Temple is a special place where we can learn about Hiroshima's history in a quiet and natural setting. It was a pleasure to share those detailed stories with you. I joined the Mitaki Peace Tour. The tour starts in central Hiroshima, visiting places such as the Rest House, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the hypocenter (Shima Hospital). From there, you take a bus for about 20 minutes to Mitaki, which is also very easy to access from the city. Mitaki is a शांत and nature-rich area. The paths are well maintained, so even people who are not very physically active can enjoy it comfortably. What impressed me most was how the stories shared by the guide in the city came together once we reached Mitaki. While enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings, you can also learn about the impact of the atomic bomb and hear different perspectives on people’s experiences. It’s more than just sightseeing—it’s a meaningful and reflective experience. It gave me a chance to quietly think about what “peace” really means. The guide was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hiroshima.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! I am deeply moved to hear that you found the tour to be a meaningful and reflective experience. It is exactly what I hope for—that the stories from the city center connect with the peaceful atmosphere of Mitaki Temple to help guests think about peace in their own way. I am also glad to hear that you enjoyed the nature and the accessibility of the area. Thank you for your kind words about my guidance; it was a true pleasure to spend that time with you. I hope the feelings you experienced on the tour stay with you for a long time. Yuki
This tour was a really great way to learn more about the history of Hiroshima. I first visited Hiroshima on a school trip when I was an elementary school student to learn about the atomic bombing, but over 15 years later, this tour gave me so many new discoveries and perspectives. The guide clearly explained how the atomic bomb attack was planned and why this particular area was targeted, along with many other important historical facts. What impressed me most was how the stories we heard on the way to Mitaki-dera Temple were later connected to the history and spots in the temple. There was so much information that you would never learn by simply visiting the temple on your own. If you're planning to visit Mitaki-dera Temple, I definitely recommend joining this tour. Since it's a hiking tour, be prepared to walk quite a bit, including some uphill and downhill sections. It might be challenging if you're not comfortable with long walks or uneven terrain, but it's absolutely worth it. Admission fee: 200 yen
Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. I am so glad that this tour provided you with new discoveries and perspectives, different from your childhood visit. It is my goal to connect historical facts with the actual atmosphere of the sites, so I am happy to hear you enjoyed the stories leading up to Mitaki-dera Temple. Thank you for your kind recommendation! Yuki
I was able to learn a lot from this tour. This tour was well planned, and the guide was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour!

I truly appreciate your high recommendation. I hope your experience on the tour remains a special memory for a long time. Yuki
This tour connected Hiroshima on that fateful day with the Mitaki area, offering a unique experience filled with storytelling and a variety of activities unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. The guide possessed a wealth of knowledge and provided detailed explanations using very clear and easy-to-understand language. In the Peace Park, she shared the naratives of atomic bomb survivors who overcame tragedies that are almost unimaginable today, which made me feel the horror of the atomic bomb and had a strong feeling that we must not repeat.that evil. We traveled by bus from Peace Park to the Mitaki area, enjoying the feeling of a mini-trip on local transportation. Mt. Mitaki was ablaze with fresh greenery; the breeze and the sound of the waterfall were soothing, and we were enveloped in the solemn atmosphere of a Japanese temple amidst the tranquility. I imagine the autumn foliage season will reveal a completely different scene. It was a wonderful trip!
Thank you for your wonderful review! I am so happy that the stories of the atomic bomb survivors touched your heart. Sharing their experiences is the most important part of this tour for me. I am also glad you enjoyed the local bus ride and the peaceful atmosphere of Mitaki Temple. The autumn foliage there is really beautiful too — I hope you will enjoy it again in a different season! Thank you again, and I hope Hiroshima stays in your heart. Yuki
Mitaki Temple is a scenic and fascinating spot even for Japanese people, but visiting it with a guide this time allowed me to discover many new aspects of its charm. Also, since it is located away from Peace Park, I had assumed it had no connection to the war, so I was surprised to learn that it is not entirely unrelated. If I hadn’t joined this tour, my impression of Mitaki would have been nothing more than “a nice hiking trail.” While one can understand and feel the history of Hiroshima and peace by reading the exhibits, the connection between Mitaki and peace is something you wouldn’t know without participating in this tour. It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and reflect on peace amidst nature.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. I am so glad that you felt the deep connection between Mitaki-dera and the history of peace. Sharing these new perspectives with you was a wonderful experience for me as well. Thank you for joining my tour! Yuki
I joined the “Mitaki Peace Tour Beyond Central Hiroshima,” and the tour lasted just under four hours. It was a very fulfilling experience from start to finish. The tour began at the Rest House, a surviving A-bombed building, and continued all the way to Mitaki-dera Temple. It would require a reasonable level of fitness since there was quite a bit of walking, but it was absolutely worth it. Mitaki-dera was full of greenery, cool air, and a peaceful atmosphere that made me feel refreshed both physically and mentally. After reaching the top, we were rewarded with a panoramic view of Hiroshima City, which gave a real sense of accomplishment. According to our guide, Mitaki-dera is known as a temple founded by Kobo Daishi Kukai in 809, and it also preserves structures that survived the atomic bombing in 1945. It is a place where visitors can quietly reflect and learn about Hiroshima’s history from different perspectives. She explained everything very clearly and carefully, making the historical background easy to understand and helping us appreciate the significance of each place we visited. This tour offered not only sightseeing, but also a deeper understanding of Hiroshima beyond the city center. I would highly recommend this tour for those who want to explore a different side of Hiroshima.
Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review. I am glad you had a fulfilling experience from the Rest House to Mitaki-dera. It was a pleasure to share the history and the peaceful, panoramic view with you. Thank you again for joining my tour! Yuki
