Mindo er en by beliggende nordvest for Quito, 2 timers kørsel. Skyskoven har en utrolig mangfoldighed af fuglefugle, især kolibrier, samt sommerfugle. Dette område af primærskov med en enorm biodiversitet har også nogle af de højeste niveauer af plantendemisme i verden: orkideer, bromeliader, heliconier, bregner, vinstokke, moser og laver vokser i overflod her.

Om morgenen bliver vi hentet fra vores hotel af vores chaufførguide for at tage den nordvestlige del af Quito med retning mod Mindo, en af de mest besøgte skyskove i Ecuador. At komme til Mindo vil tage os omkring 2 timer, når vi ankommer til byen vil vi besøge et fantastisk sted for at beundre mange arter af kolibrier. Næste stop er ved sommerfuglehaven, hvor vi vil se de 4 stadier af sommerfuglelivet, omgivet af 1200 farverige sommerfugle på samme tid. Vores næste punkt er håndværkschokoladefabrikken; her får du mulighed for at kende processen til at fremstille en lækker og ren chokolade af kakaobønnen. Hvis vi har tid, er der en chance for at have det sjovt med Canopy (Zip-Line/valgfrit). Til sidst vender vi tilbage til Quito.
For dem med begrænset tid, der ikke var i stand til at besøge Middle of the World, kan vi stoppe ved dette sted på vej tilbage fra Mindo uden ekstra omkostninger (Entrégebyr IKKE inkluderet), skriv venligst denne anmodning ned, og vi vil gøre det muligt.

This day trip has it all! We did the cable car (tarabita), hiked to the waterfalls, and finished with an amazing chocolate tour. Doing it as a private trip meant we could customize our itinerary and stay longer at the spots we loved.
We spend the morning surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, then transition back to the city with a stop at the equator. It’s a lot of ground to cover, but the private transport makes the logistics seamless and much easier than trying to coordinate local buses.
It was an incredibly special day with Mijael. He was SO passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip, from the plants and nature to geography and mythology. We loved chatting with him, exploring the stunning town of Mindo, and enjoying a waterfall hike. The tour felt relaxed , peaceful, fun and educational. Thanks for organizing a memorable day!

My family & I had an excellent English speaking guide in Quito. We spent 3 days with Kevin. We visited Quito, the center of the earth, the Mindo cloud forest, went zip lining and the Otavalo market. Kevin spent over 10 hours with us each day, he hiked with us and took us to a great chocolate farm and good restaurant. He was accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable. His prices for the 5 of were much better then Viator and we had complete control over our day. I enjoyed photographing the numerous hummingbirds. Very colorful. Also learning how chocolate was made was interesting. Seeing the butterfly farm was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And the orchid farm was amazing.
