Vores tur begynder fra Papafragas eller "vulkanisk swimmingpool", hvor vi vil undre sig et stykke tid på denne maleriske placering, kan du kigge ned i det klare turkisfarvede vand. Phylakopi, som er vores næste stop, her vil præsentere dig denne forhistoriske position. En kort køretur fra Phylakopi tager os til den berømte Sarakiniko, det unikke 'Lunar Landscape'. Det smukke sted er et af øens mange geologiske vidundere og måske et af de mest fotograferede steder i Kykladerne! Vi vil tage en mur ned ad indgangen, så du kan opleve denne ene af en sød strand og tage nogle billeder. Derfra vil vi rejse mod Plaka og dens stenede gader og gader. I hovedstaden Milos vil du have tid til at beundre sin traditionelle arkitektur og dens fantastisk udsigt over havet fra verandaen i Panagia Korfiatissa. Næste stop er det romerske amfiteater i marmor.

Rejseplan
Papafragas er en klynge af dybhavsfjorde og havhuler. Det er placeret ved bunden af en uberørt kløft, der blev formet af vulkansk aktivitet.
Phylakopi er en bebyggelse, der går tilbage til den neolitiske periode. Under udgravning opdagede arkæologer værktøjer lavet af obsidian, et vulkansk glas, der ligner granit. Det var også stedet, hvor 'Lady of Phylakopi' blev opdaget.
Sarakiniko er et indløb af rene hvide klippeformationer skulptureret af vulkanudbrud. Det er et unikt landskab!
Plaka er en klassisk kykladisk Chora, med hvide stenhuse og bougainvilleaer, beliggende 250 m over havets overflade.
Placeret på en skråning under den maleriske landsby Tripiti, er det antikke teater et velbevaret udendørs marmorteater, på trods af at det er blevet lidt ødelagt gennem årene, siden det først blev bygget i den hellenistiske periode. Det kan prale af et fantastisk syn, da du sammen med teatret og de nærliggende historiske katakomber også tilbydes en fantastisk udsigt mod Det Ægæiske Hav og havnen i landsbyen Klima.

We got to see the most incredible views of Milos! Kostas was the greatest tour guide! He showed us the hidden treasures and took great care of us. Comfortable air conditioned van, a small amount of walking, customized for our group.
There’s a lot of walking, but the history is great. Sarakiniko Beach is incredible to see. Our driver was very friendly and knew so much about Milos.
Kostas was an amazing guide. He was accommodating of everyone, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about showing us all Milos has to offer. He was easy to talk to and it felt like we were good friends by the end of the tour. He went above and beyond by arranging transportation for me to have a special birthday dinner in Plaka that evening, and suggested both a restaurant and foods to try.
Great tour! Marios took us to some very interesting places. He is very knowledgeable, very friendly, very engaging. One of our best tours of Greece.

West of the Cyclades, apart from the tourist hordes that invade its neighbors, this is Milos. Apart from the geological curiosity of the beach and the cliffs of Sarakiniko, not much to see on this peeled island, fried by the sun and battered by the winds. Ah, yes, of course, this is where French archaeologists found and reunited the two pieces of the famous Venus that sits in the Louvre... Other than that? Well nothing, except the unique charm of small villages like Adamandas or Plaka where white and blue reign, where sipping an ouzo or a Greek coffee under a dais of red bougainvillea contemplating the Mediterranean is an innefable pleasure. Time suddenly stops... To visit in autumn to avoid a merciless sun. The sea is still warm and its waters are still crystal clear. Regular sea and air connections.

We had a most memorable tour thanks to Marios. He was extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited and a lover of history which my husband loved.
