The scenery was amazing, weather was perfect and our guide even better. Andrea was awesome all day and so enthusiastic about your country. It is not just a job to her, but something she is truly passionate about. Overall, EXCELLENT!!
The driver, Brandon was awesome. Gave some good knowledge about the places we went too along the journey and also felt safe and comfortable on the bus had some laughs he also played a great playlist that I could hear a few people singing along too and humming too including myself. The boat ride was good but I do think it could be improved not enough hot food and the food we did have on the boat wasn't very nice hard bread that didn't taste fresh. The scenery and animals made up for that. Dolphins, penguins and waterfalls are absolutely amazing. I could smell the fresh air and the water is so clean just beautiful.
Amazing experience Very professional from start to finish Booking customer service excellent The coach driver Peanut was exceptionally knowledgeable coach was comfortable on schedule and cruise was spectacular.I would highly recommend this company.
We took the bus tour from Queenstown to Milford Sound and had an amazing experience. Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views throughout the trip. A special thank you to our tour guide, Brian, who was fantastic! It was a memorable day. Will be visiting again. Would highly recommend this tour to others.
Wonderful day with RealNZ! We stayed in Te Anau, which made joining the tour at the RealNZ Visitor Center in Te Anau at 7:45am quite easy. It started with a 2 hour bus ride on Milford Road to Milford Sound, which was absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky it was a sunny day. Our driver was entertaining, and was smart with the stops for photo taking. The cruise itself was lovely. The boat glided through the Sound, and lingered by several waterfalls and a rock with lounging seals, allowing everyone ample time to take photos. We packed a small lunch, but a lunch was available for order ahead of time. Highly recommend this trip!
Wonderful experience - the drive down and back was as good as the boat trip around the sound. It was raining, but that was a bonus because all the waterfalls were full and running. A great day out. Next time, we will do Doubtful Sound.
Let me just put this out there, the scenery is absolutely stunning. It’s something you can’t really take your eyes off of. The geography and biodiversity of the area is something entirely unique and worth seeing. If that’s all your care about, then read no more. However, there are a few drawbacks. This are is VERY touristy, for good reason. But these are your very annoying type of tourists, the ones that are loud, pushy, and incessantly getting in the way to get photos and video to put on TikTok. It’s not a quiet nature get-away like one might think. The boat was very crowded as well, standing room only. And people would push past you, and I mean literally push past you, to get the good views. Milford sound is also a rainforest. They get like 9 meters of rain a year. It rains constantly. Plan accordingly. Also, Milford sound is relatively remote. Even if you get on the bus midway through at Te Arau, it’s still a 2 hour bus ride to Milford sound. They make stops along the way for pictures and a bathroom break, but expect the bus (and everything else) to be very crowded. The actual cruise is about 90ish minutes if I remember correctly, most of the day is spent getting there and back on the bus. Nothing the operator can do about that, but something to know. Ultimately, if you have the time, it’s probably worth it. The scenery is spectacular. However, as a person who loves the outdoors as a way to relax and take in nature, this just isn’t it. Head up north to Wanaka if you want that. It’s equally as scenic and has like a tenth of the tourist traffic, if that. And it’s only an hour outside Queenstown. This tour is very crowded and that was a bit disappointing to me. It didn’t ruin my experience, but it was a bit of a downer. I wouldn’t say avoid this, but I’m also not jumping up and down to recommend it either. I hope that helps.
