Det begynder at komme til Marine Park for snorkling, hvor du kan se alle de forskellige farverige fisk. Watamu Marine National Park, der blev oprettet i 1968, er hjemsted for koraller og over 600 arter af fisk og andre havdyr, hvilket gør det til et vidunderligt sted at snorkle. For dem, der ikke ønskede at komme i vandet, kan du dog observere fisken fra båden gennem bunden af glasset.
Efter snorkel vil du gå i gang og sejle til opdagelsen af Mida Creek, et beskyttet område af Kenyas regering, naturreservat takket være dets økosystem unikt i sin art. Mida Creek, Øst-Afrikas største mangrovebæk, er et af de mest produktive mangroveøkosystemer på jorden. Efter afslutningen af turen tager vi på WakaWaka-øen til frokost fisk og skaldyr: hummer, rejer, fisk osv. Going on a safari with Giovanni and his team was a wonderful experience full of emotions. Thanks to their professionalism, passion, and deep knowledge of the area, every moment was magical and taken care of down to the smallest detail. Unfortunately a big disappointment. The excursion was above all extremely poorly organized. From the time we arrived until the boat trip actually started, 2.5 hours passed. We got practically no information, just stood waiting next to the boats without knowing why it was taking so long or when we would leave. The snorkeling was supposed to last an hour according to the plan, but only lasted about 30 minutes. Lunch was served around 14, even though we had been there since 08. The lunch can hardly be called a seafood buffet - it started with Kenyan school food and ended with 5 shrimp, 2-3 crayfish and 1 small langoustine (young lobster) per person. The guidance was also a disappointment. We who did not speak Italian received practically no guidance at all, even though we asked for an English-speaking guide and this was on the boat. The biggest problem is however the organization. When so many boats are to depart, there is no reason to let all participants arrive at the same time in the morning. Tips: Split up the arrival times and thus avoid all hours of pointless waiting. It could also have solved the problem at lunch. Now the boats instead circulated around in the creek and waited for the groups that had come there earlier to finish eating before the next group could disembark. In summary: Far too much waiting, too little information, shorter snorkeling than promised, late and misleadingly described lunch, and poor guidance.
Eva and Maria, I am truly sorry for your disappointment; the guide I sent speaks excellent English and treated you with great care, just like the others. I am sorry that you didn't enjoy the food or the excursion. I tried in many ways to accommodate your requests. I hope to do better next time.
Definitely the worst experience we had in Kenya. Departure among trash and a mountain of seaweed with brown water. Snorkeling is nothing more than a "dive" with 1000 other people among zebra fish that come to the surface the moment the operators throw the food. The masks and equipment provided were inadequate. Sardegna 2 beautiful, but very shallow water; here too we were supposed to see small sharks, but nothing... last but not least, lunch in the village, we had been promised food in abundance (I quote the operator's words: "you only need to worry about bringing your appetite") while in reality they gave us rice, 3 shrimp, and 1 lobster counted... I personally brought my appetite, but back home. Money wasted.

Our day started by getting picked up by Sam. We liked his energy right away, but once we got close to the beach, we were handed off to a different guide who didn't communicate anything with us about the itinerary, and we were left standing around for an hour or more waiting for a boat and another group that was joining. In total, there were about 30+ people on the boat. It was too many. The captain was competent, and I was satisfied how he handled things when we got to the dolphins. Other boat captains were chasing and harassing them, and one even drove right through the center of the pod. Still no communication from our guide. The "tour" of the mangroves was just driving the boat up Midi Creek. No discussion about the ecosystem or anything. Snorkeling was a joke. There was no reef and no fish, no direction about where the reef was located in relation to the boats. Most people were just jumping off the boat to swim. The lunch was fine, but again the communication was poor. They put out the side dishes way before the grilled fish and lobster came out and didn't advise that the main course was in progress, leading several people to fill up on side dishes before the meat was served. All of the guides spoke Italian and seemed to cater to that group.

Samuel was our contact throughout our trip to Kenya, he didn't just organize this tour. From Italy he created our itinerary (3 days safari, blue safari, Mida creek + malindi Marafa in addition) including transport and all meals during the safari.
