Visiting the Sahara, riding a camel and staying overnight in a camp was the dream of my son and one of the main reasons for us to go to Morocco - and we returned with gleaming eyes, not from the sun and the heat, but from a great experience and the feeling to leave behind a friend where 2 days earlier we were strangers. We stayed one night in the standard desert camp and another one in Merzouga, at Ali's apartment. The second day we visited the lake, nomad families, searching for some fossils, playing around in the sand dunes and learning a bit to play the African drum. Most importantly, we learned quite a bit about Ali and his life in Merzouga. We truly recommend you spending some time with him!

From the moment I arrived in Merzouga, I knew I was going to have a unique experience. Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. One of the most special moments was seeing my son fulfill one of his biggest dreams: seeing the desert and riding a camel. It was a day full of emotion that we will never forget. I want to especially highlight our guide, Ali, who was simply incredible. From the first moment, he was very kind, attentive, and always willing to make the experience perfect. He took beautiful photos of us, taught us how to put on the traditional turban, and, during a stop in the dunes before arriving at the camp, he played with my son while I rested. It is those little details that make an experience truly special. I recommend this experience to everyone. The Merzouga desert is a magical place, but thanks to Ali everything was even more beautiful and authentic. His kindness, approachability, and dedication made this trip unforgettable. The camel ride tour in the desert was a very special experience for me. The view I saw in the vast desert was something I had never experienced before. The camel ride was also very enjoyable, with the guide's brother showing us around with great care!
