Cool place to visit. Great art and very interesting

After watching the Meow Wolf Origin Story documentary we were looking forward to finally visit. We spent a few hours experiencing this wonderful art space and it was everything we had hoped for. For far too long, Santa Fe have this reputation of an established, upscale art market that's accessible to certain groups of denim skirt loving, turquoise bejeweled lot. Gate keepers of such market has commanded this local art scene which leaves young artists whose artistic expressions doesn't necessarily conform to the its style/taste outside of the scene and therefore considered outsider artists. I for one appreciate what the Canyon Road has to offer. But after visiting Mew Wolf, I feel a sense of hope for the young local artists here. I'm happy these talented young artists found a way to exist in this established art market and are offering the public something more than the "Santa Fe art". For the past few decades of visiting Santa Fe, I have the impression this is a great place for the financially well-off and retired, but not necessarily for young people because it doesn't seem to have much to offer them. Meow Wolf changes that narrative and perception and I hope it's the first of many to come.

This is an extremely unique hands-on interactive art exhibit. There is a bit of a mystery/story that is supposed to be the driving factor throughout the exhibits but I personally found there to be too many clues/red herrings throughout the exhibit to truly follow along. So instead, I just tried to explore each area and appreciate the art. The area can get a bit crowded and there's not truly right or wrong way (at least I think) to explore the area/exhibits. I ended up in the exhibit for about 3 hours after which I personally got a little overwhelmed by some of the trippier exhibits and the sheer amount of people. The exhibit also does a good job of catering towards kids which smaller areas that are ideal for child-exploring. I would say though some of the areas are not size-inclusive (I am a larger person and a couple of the areas that you could go through were simply not ideal. You can only suck in your own rib cage and pelvis so much). But overall, it was a unique experience and certainly had a lot of bang-for-the-buck. I would definitely go to another Meow Wolfe Exhibits (there are currently 4 others I believe--2 in Colorado, 1 TX and 1 somewhere--and there are some anticipated to be coming to CA and NYC). My personal favorite area was the undertone water themed glow-in-the dark area that many other travelers have posted

Meow Wolf should be on everyone's bucket list. It is a fun adventure that you take in person. It's a physical experience you can touch it, you walk it, you explore it, touch everything cause it may surprise you in a positive way. The staff was excellent, the experience is one of a kind. If you're coming to New Mexico, do not miss Meow Wolf.

Very interesting concept, unusual art work. Story behind the house draws you in. Colorful and bright along with dark scenarios

It felt weird in the first two rooms. I couldn't make sense of it. Then I didn't try so hard to figure things out and just enjoyed it for what it was. I would recommend it.

I didn't understand this mis match of random stuff. And it was $99 for 2 adults.
