The tour was wonderful with so much great information! We also loved the Hawaiian music in between information stops on the map. There were great reminders of what we had coming up to see and it was super easy to plan on our trip accordingly.

We have used Shaka Guide on 3 different islands and have had great experiences every time! The storytelling, turn by turn navigation, and music between history lessons makes for an all around great immersive experience that you can do at your own pace. Cannot recommend Shaka Guide enough!!

I loved the Road to Hana. But I must say some of those turns and narrow lanes demand the skills of a race car driver. Or at least a sober mind and nerves of steel.
The Shaka Guide is wonderful. Voice and music soothing while you drive. We were able to learn some history while keeping our eyes on the road! Highly recommend.

Great tour that works even without internet. You get great tips and it's in light English, so you also understand it great if you don't speak so super English

Outstanding tours of both The Haleakala Sunset and Star gazing tour as well as the road to Hana. Definitely 10/10! So glad we found this app.
Content is great. Really helpful as we drive. Not as big a fan of the corny, sometimes annoying narrator.
Do NOT purchase. I paid $30+ for a download that is unusable. It is NOT made clear up front that this map doesn't work with Android Auto. I'm in an unfamiliar location in a rental car... of course I need to see a map and get turn by turn directions. If you know exactly where you are going and how to get there, this MIGHT tell you highlights of each destination... I needed a navigation program to follow so I plugged in my Android phone. This useless narrative of what's ahead cannot be run simultaneously- therefore a TOTAL WASTE OF YOUR MONEY.

Shaka Guide is a GPS-triggered audio companion, not a turn-by-turn navigation app like Google Maps, and due to Google’s policies it doesn’t run in Android Auto. Our app plays audio and narration from your phone (or you can send audio to the car speakers without using Android Auto) and give stories plus clear heads-up directions as you follow the route. I wish you reached out to us before your drive so we could have properly set expectations. These tours are a great idea and way to see sites with information for an incredible price. The audio and directions were very good and detailed. It was great to take our time and stop/go at our own pace.

Very helpful app … information about site timed well with travel position … a little difficult to pick talking part up when we skipped a location … overall good experience and travel guide.
