Her, smager fra Orient vil kalde dig! Du kan smage nogle sprøde og smeltende bakkerier at nyde uden indrømmelse af skyld. Hvilken af dem vil være din favorit?

Jean was the ultimate guide for our introduction to Marseilles. He had great energy, was extra friendly and shared many interesting historical facts. Jean knows his way around the city and introduced us to many delicious local bites. Highly recommend.
The day was absolutely marvelous! It was just me and my husband in the group, so we felt like it was a private tour. The food tastings, drinks, wines and sweets were all exceptional. Our tour guide, Jean, was just wonderful - knowledgeable, interesting, generous and kind. The very definition of hospitality! We are glad to be new ambassadors of Marseilles, a truly delightful city.
The tour was so much fun and included a lot of history which I did not expect. The food, drinks and deserts where all great and gave us a taste of what the locals eat. Our guide Jean was perfect for our tour, we loved it and highly recommend to all.
We absolutely loved the tour. Not only did we sample some local foods and sweets but we enjoyed the wonderful conversation over food. Jean our host was very knowledgeable and passionate about not only Marseille but its food and traditions. We can highly recommend the tour and hopefully you’ll have Jean as your host. It’s ideal if you only have a limited amount of time to at least experience the city and its food. Thank you Jean for making our visit so memorable.
Was a nice intro to many flavors of Marseille! Jasmine did a nice job guiding our group. Walking was not to far and the food was very good.
Fun tour host Inga, a personal chef, introduced us to Marseille cuisine. She was hampered a bit by a fire in the harbor where we were to meet but expertly navigated us around the conflagration. We ended the tour at an unusual locale, which required a lot of additional walking. But we had fun and got to see a lot of Marseille.
we had a leisurely stroll through Marseille and stopped at three savoury bites restaurants and two sweet bites restaurants. Our tour guide was phenomenal – degree in architecture and works in public planning as a consultant – but also loves food and is an engaging conversationalist. We learned a lot about the history of the area and not only that had good food along the way. They were only three guests on this tour – which amounted to a private tour for a very reasonable cost. Lovely time.
Guide was not engaged. Food was not of good quality. First stop was good but we had to wait for them to open to us, the purveyor was not polite and clearly was unhappy that we were there. The cheese was the best bites of the tour. We walked an hour after this stop up and down winding streets, 4000 steps, to end up across the street from the first stop. Infuriating. It was a HOT day. Second stop - chickpea "fries" with aioli & pizza. Pizza on a $110 food tour in France. We sat in a room with the pizza oven & it was hot. Third stop - mussels gratin were tough & sandy. Wine was good, we were not offered water until we asked. Location was outdoor & shaded, short walk from 1st & 2nd stops. Third stop - A walk to the main shopping street for a cookie and chocolate covered almond in a shop that was handing these out for free. THEN... hot, with no water offered after the dry cookie, we walked to the last stop. We were walked 15/20 minutes through a filthy, transient ridden, trash filled neighborhood to the last location. After our hot walk we were taken into a 100 degree bakery for baklava. Again, not French. We were offered water after asking. It was fine but we passed a half a dozen of these shops along the way. And when we were finished we were told "go right" to get back to the old harbor -- we used google.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few points. Our menu is clearly described before booking, and the dishes included are exactly those advertised. You mention several times that some dishes were “not French,” but our tour takes place in Marseille, a city with a very strong and unique culinary identity. The purpose of our experience is to introduce visitors to the authentic flavors of Marseille, not a generic French food menu. Many famous French dishes, such as escargots or macarons, are not originally from Marseille either, while the specialties offered on our tour are deeply connected to the city’s own food culture. The pizza you tasted is not an accidental choice: it is one of Marseille’s most traditional foods, with a history going back many generations and a strong place in the city’s culinary heritage. Likewise, the other stops and tastings are selected to represent local specialties and the multicultural character of Marseille. Regarding the walking and the weather, the tour description clearly indicates the walking component and distance involved. Marseille is a city best discovered on foot, through its streets, neighborhoods, and hidden corners. A food tour in July naturally takes place during a hot period, and we always recommend that guests come prepared with appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes, and water. During the summer season, we also make efforts to provide water at several stops whenever possible. We are sorry if some aspects of the experience did not match your personal expectations, but we do our best to be transparent about the itinerary, the menu, and the walking involved before guests book. Our goal is to share the real taste and culture of Marseille, and we appreciate all feedback that helps us continue improving.
The food tour was great! We sampled different local marseille dishes like baked Camembert, amazing delicious mussels gratiné, the local chickpea panisses. Each stop included local wine and we also tried the local pastis drink. But the best of all was our tour guide, Inga! Not only did she deftly deal with some obstacles that day like the fire at the port and clocked routes, but she added so much energy and information to our tour. Her presence made it all the better!
We had a great time! Jean was an amazing guide: super fun, accommodating, and very knowledgeable and passionate about Marseille and its history. The food was delicious and the city beautiful. We loved it!
