Armand (not too sure of name, but has been with the co about 6 mths ). Was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. He altered the itinerary slightly as we had done some of the sights already. He was fun, informative and a very safe driver. We would do do this trip again with him. It has been the highlight of our time in Europe and there have been many highlights! We are senior ladies and it was the best!!! Reliving our youth, but great for all ages!!!
My husband and I took our three children (10,11,13) on the Marseille sidecar tour. Eric, the owner of the company lead our group of three vintage motorcycles with sidecars on our tour. It was a wonderful experience. We saw the beauty of the historic city, along with the Notre Dame Cathedral, continued on to the national park, and a stop at a local pub/cafe for popcicles and/or expresso. We finished the tour with a sidecar kids water gun fight on our way back to the city. Our entire family loved the fresh air and breeze that this tour offered while seeing the beautiful port city of Marseille.
The listing and photos implied a couples’ sidecar experience—one of us on the motorcycle and the other in the sidecar. Upon arrival, we learned my husband would actually sit behind the guide while I rode in the sidecar. This seating arrangement was not clear in the listing, and had it been, we would not have booked. We chose not to participate, were denied a refund, and unfortunately found the operator’s response to our concern very dismissive.
Dear Danelle, following our exchanges when you arrived, you told me in a rather severe tone that you absolutely wanted to drive, that your husband was a professional pilot and that, if he could not drive, you wanted to cancel immediately. I did do so by telling you that the activity was cancelled but that there would be no refund, because our pilot had moved to welcome you. On the other hand, it is clearly stated, both in the photos and in the description, that it is a tourist activity for walking and excursion with a guide (if you had read the reviews, you would have noticed it), and not a sidecar rental. You say you're a travel agency; if you did, you would have contacted me directly so you wouldn't book on TripAdvisor, because if you were a travel agency, you would know that fares are much more expensive. I'm sorry you didn't understand the description which is, I think, relatively clear, and you're the only one in 10 years who believes that you're booking a sidecar rental and you're going to drive.
This is a great way to see Marseille and have fun while doing so! It was a one of kind experience and good for all ages! Antoine was so kind and made me feel comfortable zipping around Marseilles…we had a blast
Kevin was our guide and he was fantastic. Very funny and knowledgeable and we felt safe the entire time. It was a great tour in such a unique way!
This was a great way to see all of Marseille in a couple of hours and hear the details from a local. We had Antoine and he was a great driver and made it super fun. Truly an unforgettable experience. We had come in on a cruise ship and walked only a block to the pick up point from where our cruise ship bus dropped off in town.
We had a great time with our fantastic guide, Thibeault!! Meet up was easy, and we saw so much in two hours. We felt totally safe and enjoyed chatting during our stops. From Notre Dame to the Calanques, we had a beautiful ride! We easily made this excursion part of our day in Marsailles while on a cruise stop.
Thibault was a fantastic tour guide. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and historic tidbits along the way. We had limited time in port on a Celebrity cruise and this was a great way to see a lot of the coast line within a couple of hours. He was even able to bring us directly back to the ship so we didn’t have to take the shuttle back to the ship. He was such a welcoming, warm and all around nice guy and made my wife and I feel safe on the motorcycle. We even had time to stop for some ice cream on the way back and he took nice pictures of us at each stop. Highly recommend!
Great way to see the highlights. Our guides were really fun…we would definitely do it again! It was a very hot day so it was great to be moving.
This was something different and lots of fun. The guide was prompt and friendly and let us control the pace of the tour and additional stops. I highly recommend this tour.
