Maputo National Park (Maputo Special Reserve) Heldagstur

Excellent combination of safari and pristine beach. The tour guide and driver, Calisto, was very knowledgeable, kind and made the tour fun. Highly recommend for a daily tour out of Maputo.

Calisto was a great driver! Our day was wonderful. We saw so many animals. Calisto had a great eye and was knowledgeable. We felt safe. The park was so beautiful. It’s a long day and it’s hot, but you need the windows open to see the animals and take photos. Calisto was accommodating to every pictures or break we requested.

Visiting Maputo National Reserve was one of the most wonderful experiences during my trip to Mozambique. From the moment we entered the park, we were amazed by the fresh, clean atmosphere and the raw beauty of the landscapes. The park felt wild and untouched, giving a real sense of adventure and connection to nature. We really felt immersed in the environment by its peacefulness. Our guide Calisto was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, which made the experience even more meaningful and enchanting. Can’t wait to go back to this beautiful country!

Everything was very good. From pick up to the safari itself, to the guide who had excellent English. We saw many animals and we really enjoyed the nature of the park and seeing plenty of animals. We really appreciated seeing the biodiversity of the park

Great experience. The guide made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. He had a lot of knowledge that he passed on to me throughout the day about all the animals crossed during the tour. I highly recommend the experience with this company 😊

Great experience. Didn't make it all the way to the Indian Ocean coast but the variety of landscapes is interesting and very beautiful. Try to get there earlier rather than later, as there are more animals.

This was a truly unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has chance to go on this tour! Calisto the guide was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and adaptable - I learned so much, about the animals and birds and even about the plants that his grandmother still uses medicinally. My day was made when a giraffe walked across the road as we entered the park and everything else was a bonus - such a beautiful setting and to go to the coast and surf the waves was stunning (take your swimming gear!) No lions in this park, it’s a ‘Peace Park’ - although the elephants apparently still remember times when it wasn’t so peaceful… we saw lots of different antelope, wildebeest, wonderful warthogs, hippos, crocodiles, zebra, elephants, more giraffes, beautiful birds and gorgeous water lilies on the lakes. Truly amazing! I will be saving up to stay overnight on one of the camps next time I go and so glad I chose this tour from Maputo over going to Kruger to chase ‘the big five.’ The landscape here was so worth it! This was a solo trip only because it was a quiet time with no other bookings - much more expensive than I’d planned on, but really worth it. Thank you so much Calisto for a prompt pick up from the place I was staying, spotting things I wouldn’t have seen, answering all my questions, your willingness to chill while I was at the beach, a delicious lunch and fantastic music on the way back to the city!

Excellent day out if you like safari’s. Picked up on time from the hotel . The guides name was Calisto. Good driver and lots of information. The vegetation is so different from Kruger. Coastal forests open grassland and areas with reeds and water. Lovely to see Reedbuck on four occasions as well as numerous red duiker. We spotted more wildebeest than impala! Amazing. Then the ocean. Unspoilt and stunning. Very enjoyable day out thanks to Calisto .

Everything was great! Good communication and organization. The park is beautiful and we saw a lot of animals including elephants, giraffes, zebras and crocodiles. The driver was on time and very friendly. Definitely recommend!

It was a wonderful experience, we were picked up on time, before the aprtenza we could ask questions and receive all the information by email and what s. The tour was complete very interesting and we were really good discovering also some curiosity about animals
