Mangrove Clear Kajak Tour

Jean was a knowledgeable guide, and we enjoyed learning about the mangroves. He took us to a spot where the sea turtles hang out and we saw so many up close. The tow to the spot and the paddling once we got there was the perfect mix of relaxing and active. We and our older teens loved it.

We had a great time on the clear kayak tour through the mangroves. Our guide made sure we saw all the local wildlife - jellyfish, conch, lemon sharks, and sooo many turtles!!

Amazing experience! Guide was excellent and we saw lots of turtles! He also shared lots of information about the island!

My husband and I took our 2 kids (8 yrs and 13 years) on the clear kayak tour through the mangroves on a Wednesday morning. It was amazing! The guide was very friendly, attentive, and experienced. He knew a lot about the local wildlife. We saw so many turtles, a baby lemon shark, conch, and jellyfish, we even saw a big sting ray on the return to shore. My 8 yr old was a little overwhelmed by all the things to see, but he settled into the rhythm about 1/2 way thru. We would love to go again!

The tour guide was amazing, the experience was amazing as well. my only complaint is the mother and son who claimed they knew how to use the kayak when they didn’t and they made everyone have to wait for them. other then that 10/10

I thought this was such a neat idea, but the execution was poor. First, it was just way too many people. There were 3 groups of about 10 people. Kayaks contained 2 people, and we were strung together to be towed by boats across a bay to the mangrove area. It was long strings of people and kayaks, a little ridiculous and way more than I was expecting for a kayak tour. When we got to the mangroves, we split into small groups, and our guide led us to spots and pointed out wildlife and features and educated us, which was nice. We saw many turtles and a few conchs. When our time was up, we paddled back out to the mangrove entrance to wait for all the other groups to come. That took about 15-20 minutes. I suspect our guide was the most quick, and the other guides saw or pointed out more, which is fine, but they should make the experience more consistent. It was sunset, so was a nice time to look at the ocean. HOWEVER, the mosquitoes came out, buzzed around, and had their fill of us. That's a lot of waiting surrounded by mosquitoes. This felt like a cattle herd of a tour. Would recommend trying to find a less popular time of day (perhaps not during peak July month), and if going during dawn or dusk, mosquito repellant is a must.

Great experience! Mikey our guide was great! He was able to connect with a diverse skill level of kayakers and shared lots of info. We saw dozens of turtles, live conch and jellyfish!

Awesome tour. Super convenient hotel pickup which made it cost effective and easy. Great comms from the tour company. But the tour itself was great, very knowledgeable guide who shared fascinating facts about the mangroves. Just the right amount of time paddling in absolutely beautiful mangroves. We saw a ton of turtles, a lemon shark, a barracuda, a cool jellyfish and a conch (that was placed there for the guides to show everyone). Only issue is there were like 2-3 other groups and so there were areas where we had some traffic jams but that’s not the tours fault. The water is wildly clear and the turtles are incredible to see under the clear kayaks. Heavily recommend

We got to see sharks, sea turtles, jelly fish, and conch. If you are considering this tour I would definitely recommend it. The guide was really good and worked hard to show sure all there was to see. It is hot and there is no shade. You will be in the kayak for about 2 hours. With this being said the earlier you go the better. I wore a long sleeve sun shirt, wide brim hat and put on lots of sun screen. This is the best tip I can give you besides telling you to book the tour.

This was a great experience. We were able to see ample smaller and larger turtles, lots of fish, 3 very large barracuda, and even a small lemon shark to top it off. Beautiful area to take kayaks!
