We spent yesterday with the lovely Alberto touring the east side of Madeira. We had a great day, Alberto was extremely knowledgeable, kind and friendly and we felt very safe in the minibus were travelling in with him driving. He was very courteous and gave us ample time to explore at every stop along our tour. He pointed out best places to see, toilets and places to eat and drink. We felt like we had seen so much and the weather stayed in our favour, all in all a lovely experience. Thank you Alberto 🙏🏻

We had a great day exploring east of Madeira. Our driver/guide was Silvio, he is a great driver, also very friendly, informative and always happy to answer all questions. He showed us many beautiful spots and took us through some country roads to places we would never be able to see on our own. Thank you Silvio so much for looking after us.

MiguelAngelo was no painter but he was an amazing guide and a good companion for the day. He managed to make the entire day a mystery tour with everything you could wish for and more. We enjoyed the banter, the meal and the knowledge he shared. If you want a tour guide ask for MA and you will get the most beautiful memories of Maderia.

After waiting in the reception in the morning our hotel that made the booking contacted Ilha Tours, but they told there was a mistake and the tour being overbooked. After some negotiations they offered to catching up and alternative tour to the east part of Madeira. Being the last couple boarding that bus the only seating was at the back seat without windows. Not showing up and offering a bad alternative without any excuse deserves the bad rating.

Absolutely amazing. Great places to visit and our driver, Victor, was a star. Friendly knowledgeable. Exillerating ride.,and a lot of fun. Worth every penny. Will do it again next time.. Pam and Olwen from Stoke-on-Trent.

Brilliant day spent in 4x4 jeep visiting the east side of Madeira. Lots of stop offs to visit, take photos. Stopped at Porto Moniz for 1.5 hours for lunch and a swim before heading back. A few more stop offs and big part of the return trip off-road through forests and a drink at a local bar. Great experience and recommended.

Despite low cloud reducing the visibility today the tour was still excellent due to the enthusiasm and knowledge of our driver John. The off-road section was particularly exhilarating. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I would definitely recommend the tour and the company.

Really great time Miguel Oliviera was hugely enthusiastic about the island. Very friendly. A great driver. Good choice of coffee and lunch stops with splendid recommendation for lunch. Excellent english for us and French too. On time for pickup. Would use again.

Between car rental and excursion with Ilhatours, our choice was quick. We discovered the agency near CR7 where the hotel shuttle dropped us off. I rating Judith's sympathy very pleasant and smiling. We drove both tours by minibus. In the west, Carlos regaled us with magnificent tourist spots and breathtaking views. He also taught us the culture of Madeira in a perfect Molière language. The east was also on top with Ricardo who also explains the route well. Note that it is much cheaper than what is offered in hotels. It was definitely worth visiting the island with Ilhatours. who picks you up and drops you off at the hotel on schedule. Bravo.

Following our trip to the west of the island we decided to go on the east one as well, the expectations were very high after the trip with Filipe, however our driver Diogo rose to the challenge. The trip itself is different, spectacular sights to be expected and beautiful walk in the levada, Diogo also spotted a whale in the sea from when we were up in the mountains (saves you 40€ on a sea safari ;-) lot’s of fun, beautiful scenery and most and foremost for us off-roading in mud/Jurassic park settings just hit the right spot. Diogo was also aware of the dynamics of his group in the 4x4 and made an additional stop high up in the mountains so that we could try the original fisherman poncha. Simply a splendid tour. Thank you guys.
