Madeira 4x4 Jeep Safari: Porto Moniz, Lava Pools & Fanal Forest

Vores 4x4-eventyr begynder ved Cabo Girão, den berømte "SKYWALK", den næsthøjeste klippe i Europa med en utrolig højde på 580 meter. Vi fortsætter ad snoede veje til Ribeira Brava, hvor São Bento-kirken fra det 16. århundrede skiller sig ud med en fantastisk udsigt over havet. Dernæst ankommer vi til Ponta do Sol, det mest solrige sted på øen, omgivet af dramatiske klipper. Vi stiger op til Paul da Serra, det eneste plateau på Madeira, ofte indhyllet i tåge, som står i kontrast til de frodige kystområder. På vej ned ankommer vi til Porto Moniz, berømt for sine naturlige lavabassiner. Langs kysten fortryller Ribeira da Janela med sine basaltsøjler. I Seixal beundrer vi den sorte sandstrand og de naturlige pools med krystalklart vand. Vi slutter af i Câmara de Lobos, fiskerlandsbyen som Churchill besøgte, inden vi skåler for Madeiras rige vinfremstillingstradition på vingården Henriques & Henriques og afrunder en uforglemmelig dag.

Efter afhentning vil vi have det første stop ved Miradouro do Pico da Torre, hvor du kan nyde den vidunderlige bugt Câmara de lobos, efterfulgt af en offroad.
Med sine 580 meter er Cabo Girão det højeste forbjerg i Europa, men det er ikke den eneste grund til, at det er blevet mere og mere berømt over hele verden. Dens udsigtspunkt med den berømte ophængte glasplatform - kaldet skywalk - er i øjeblikket en af de mest besøgte (og bestemt mest fotograferede) turistattraktioner i kommunen Câmara de Lobos og Madeira-øgruppen.
Ribeira Brava er kendt for sin omfattende dal, opdaget i det 15. århundrede, med fantastisk vejr til bananer og sukkerrør.
Efter at have forladt Ribeira Brava, vil vi passere gennem Ponta de Sol for at beundre landsbyen, der var et vigtigt vartegn for eksport i slutningen af det 19. århundrede. Derefter stopper vi til kaffe, toilet og alt hvad kunderne har brug for
Med et unikt naturlandskab er Paul da Serra et unikt interessepunkt på øen Madeira. Det er det største bjergrige plateau i hele skærgården. Det er derfor et af de mest relevante (og ikke gå glip af) interessepunkter i Ponta do Sol kommune. Med en gennemsnitlig højde på 1500 meter byder Paul da Serra på en fantastisk udsigt over bjergtoppene og dybe dale, der markerer det omkringliggende område. På dage med god sigtbarhed er det muligt at se sydkystens og nordkystens kystlinje. Landskabet er dog domineret af naturens grønne toner.
Fanal ligger mellem Seixal og Ribeira da Janela-bjergene og er et stort skovområde, der inviterer dig til fredeligt at nyde det bedste, naturen har at byde på. Dette idylliske rum er et af de mest emblematiske steder i Porto Moniz kommune, hjemsted for en landskabsarv af stor skønhed.
Vi holder et vidunderligt stop i Ribeira da Janela med en sti mod en lille hule, hvor du vil have en fantastisk panoramaudsigt over det blå Atlanterhav.
Vi stopper ved Porto Moniz til frokost, hvor du kan slentre og nyde et af de smukkeste steder på vores ø. (TID PÅ DENNE STED KAN VARIERE)
Stop for at beundre den vidunderlige naturlige sorte sandstrand.
Ved dagens afslutning vender vi tilbage til Câmara de Lobos til Madeiras vinfabrik, hvor vi skal smage på de lækre Madeira-vine. (KUN MANDAG TIL FREDAG)

We had been staying in Funchal, and thought that with the price of taxis and the length of time buses take, we wouldn’t be able to see many of the sights on the west or north of the island. Fortunately we found Miguel’s tour. The value for money was fantastic, Miguel was a very informative tour guide who genuinely cares about the quality of tour. He knows a lot about the island and ensures that everybody has a safe and enjoyable trip. The pick up was exactly on time and the fact that he comes to pick you up and drop you off after the tour is excellent. It was a fantastic day that allowed us to enjoy the island in all its beauty and he ensured we had sufficient time at every location, but not too much where we got bored or ran out of things to do. I would highly recommend going with Miguel for the tour.

We had an amazing experience on the 4x4 West & North tour in Madeira! Miguel was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making the whole trip enjoyable from start to finish. The off-road adventure was great fun, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The views were unforgettable, with so many beautiful spots along the way. A super trip of the west side of the island hitting up all the major highlights the island has to offer. Our guide Miguel was excellent and so accommodating towards our 2 children. This is a very well planned trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

We had the pleasure of travelling on this tour with our guide Miguel. From start to finish it was hassle free. We got to see the West Coast of Madeira and hear of all its hidden gems. Miguel is very knowledgable and passionate about Madeira, and more importantly for us, very accommodating when it came to our family needs. We took a 4 and 8 year old with us and it was a joy.
