A must-do tour while in Oaxaca, the foodie capital of Mexico. Alicia was an excellent tour guide, with exceptional communication, both before the tour as well as during it. She taught us so much about the food we were trying as well as life in Oaxaca. This tour is incredibly generous with tastings throughout the two markets plus a meal to finish off. We were absolutely stuffed so definitely didn’t need dinner later that day. Highly recommend!

terrific guided tour of some of the traditional market sites. mole and mezcal tasting topped off with a meal that was very tasty. good way to experience the market and know where you want to spend more time. the street food we experienced was the very best of the eating experiences!!!!
What a great food and market tour! Elizabeth knows so much and made everything so easy. We tasted our way around two markets and tried things we’d never even heard of. I would recommend Oaxaca by Locals to anyone and everyone.
Coyote was an amazing guide who took into consideration our one dairy intolerant family member and ensured we got to see and taste the best parts of both big markets. There was the most delicious and nutritious drinks, fruit and bbq meats that we may never have considered eating. Thank you Coyote for your guidance and great communication.

As people who had not visited the region before, we felt a little overwhelmed navigating food scene here. This experience is an excellent crash course, and our guide was super friendly and enrhisiastic about answering all our questions about this beautiful and complex city. All of the food was excellent, and lives up to reputation!
