Machu Picchu: Privat guide service (2-3 timer)

Enjoyed a well organised private tour with Robert who was knowledgeable and patient and made our trip extra special

My sisters and I had an incredible time on our tour with Edgar! He met us at our hotel in Aquas Calientes and made all of the logistics getting to and from Machu Picchu very easy. After we arrived, Edgar gave us an incredible tour with tons of background and history, and he took some great photos for us!

We had a wonderful tour of Machu Pichu with Eric. Upon arriving on the train, a member of their staff was right outside the station with a sign with our names on it so they were easy to find. We had already purchased our bus tickets and they explained how the bus lines worked, based on the hour you are allowed to enter the site. We met Eric upon arriving by bus. We did the Panorama tour with him, learned a ton about the culture and history and he helped us get a bunch of great photos and a really neat video. Eric speaks English and was patient with us if we were sucking wind and with our questions. We had a tight connection for our return train back to Ollantaytambo. Eric helped ensure we were able to get on a bus that got us back in time. We recommend this service.

We had tickets for Machu Picchu Circuit 3A at 7:00 am, and the day before the tour we agreed on a 6:00 am pickup from our hotel. On the morning of the tour, just 10 minutes before the agreed pickup time, we were told that it had been changed to 6:45 am. The explanation given was that this would allow us to have enough time to enjoy breakfast. Of course, by 5:50 am we were already completely ready to leave, so this explanation made very little sense to us. What was most disappointing was that we were never given a proper explanation for the change or even an apology. Even after we expressed our concern about the timing, we were simply told several times that the change was so we could have a proper breakfast. In the end, a different guide, Noemi, arrived and took us on the tour. We really liked her and genuinely appreciate the effort she made to save the situation. She was friendly, knowledgeable and did her best to make sure we still had a good experience. Unfortunately, because of the delay beforehand, we felt that parts of the visit were slightly rushed. For something as important as a Machu Picchu tour, especially with a fixed entry time, we expected much better organisation and communication. A big thank you to Noemi for doing her best and turning things around. However, the whole situation beforehand was completely avoidable with better planning and communication.

We had an incredible experience visiting Machu Picchu – Circuit 2 with TreXperience. Our guide, Roberto, was fantastic. His knowledge of Machu Picchu, the Incas and the history of the site was incredible. He took the time to explain the history and significance behind everything we were seeing, which gave us a much deeper understanding and appreciation of such a special place. He was friendly, informative and clearly passionate about the history of the site, answering our questions and making the whole tour interesting from beginning to end. Everything with TreXperience was well organised, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience and take in one of the most amazing places we have ever visited. Karen and I absolutely loved our time at Machu Picchu. A huge thank you to Roberto and TreXperience for making such an important part of our trip to Peru even more memorable.

As we made our way through the citadel, he provided great information on everything you could see, both in the Machu Picchu citadel and the surrounding mountains. He was fantastic with photos and knew of a lot of good spots to stop and take a few. The tour ran at our pace, so if we wanted to stop for a photo, it was never a problem, or if we had further questions on a particular area, we could take our time and learn more. Machu Picchu itself is an amazing place, and Roberto helped make it extra special with his guidance. Highly recommend Roberto for a tour of Machu Picchu.

Our experience at Machu Picchu was absolutely incredible and something we’ll never forget. The site itself was even more beautiful and surreal than we could have imagined, and having such a great guide made the experience even more special. Our guide, Samuel, was fantastic from start to finish. He provided so much interesting information about the history, culture, and significance of Machu Picchu, which really helped bring the site to life. He was also incredibly patient and was always happy to take photos for us, making sure we had plenty of memories to take home. Most importantly, the tour never felt rushed—we were able to take our time, appreciate the scenery, and truly enjoy the experience. Samuel was also extremely helpful beyond the tour itself and gave us a great recommendation for lunch afterward, which ended up being another highlight of the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Samuel to anyone visiting Machu Picchu. He made an already unforgettable place even more memorable!

We had Samuel as our tour guide for Machu Picchu and we had the best experience thanks to him. His wealth of knowledge about the site brought it all to life and explained everything in great detail and answered all our questions. Samuel was also very patient and allowed the tour to go at our own pace. I was travelling with my 82 year old father and he kept reassuring us to take our time and not to rush, even when I was taking photos and videos he was telling me to take my time, made the experience feel very relaxed and easygoing. I cannot recommend him enough, this tour was a highlight of our whole South America trip.
