This was such a great experience! We met baby pigs and learned all about them. Additionally there were sheep, llamas, goats that you could pet and feed. Mary was an amazing host with a beautiful personality. I highly recommend this tour!
Thank you for such a kind review, it was lovely to meet you.
The meet-the-animals and mini pig walk are fantastic experiences animated by the expert guidance of Mary, the owner. We got to meet and feed pigs, cows, donkeys, sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas. However, the nature walk through the Faerie Garden was spectacular!! Our grandson got to march the mini pig on a leash through the garden. We met a number of faeries hiding in selected trees. The unquestioned highlight was seeing an unexcavated tomb of an Iron Age King. A rare treat. Mary is so knowledgeable about her animals, the local nature, and its history. Her love of nature sings. This sanctuary is located about 25 minutes south of Galway City in Kinvara. Well signed. Must prebook. Easy day trip from Limerick as well. Book soon!!!
Thank you so much guys it was a pleasure to meet ye.
We had such a special time visiting the Sanctuary and meeting all the animals. Mary was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the animals. Definitely do the fairy walk with Emilia!!
Thank you so much it was absolutely wonderful and memorable meeting your lovely family.
The pigs are very friendly and love belly rubs. Sanctuary is near a small village that is a great stop for lunch.
It was great to meet you ladies. :) Thank you for the great rating
We booked to meet the mini pigs and we were not disappointed. We were met at the sanctuary but the lovely Mary. Her enthusiasm for the sanctuary and her animals is wonderful, we could have just talked to her all day but we had pigs to meet. Lucky for us there was piglets there at the time. I am 43 but was like a child at Christmas when I saw the pigs. We got plenty of time with the piglets, brushing them and just watching them live their best life. Afterwards, we walked around the rest of the sanctuary where we met pigmy goats, alpacas, Valais black nose sheep, horses, donkeys and of course the lovely adult pigs too. All of the animals are so happy and well cared for, I can’t even begin to imagine the work that goes into looking after them all. I would highly recommend booking an experience, the experience itself being amazing but also knowing that your money is being well spent on these animals makes it extremely good value for money. We will definitely be returning for more visits and experiences
Thank you so much for the lovely support we really appreciate it :)
Amazing place and owners. What a way to switch off from everything. And the pig walk/tour was brilliant. Everyone should visit or support this amazing enterprise. Well done Roy and Mary.
Thank you for the lovely review we appreciate the support
Amazing place! Took a relaxing walk around the sanctuary. Loved all the animals and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
My family and I had a wonderful time here at the Burren Nature Sanctuary. We booked the Fairy Pig walk and our 2 young children absolutely loved this! Emelia was absolutely adorable and knew her route very well. Highly recommend this experience to everyone and especially for people when young children as this is something they will never forget. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! The grounds are very well kept and it is such a peaceful place to spend the day or even stay for a few nights.
Had a wonderful walk through the nature botanical park. Enjoyed the animals & fairy walk. Had i brought my son i would never have gotten him out of the children’s area, nice outing for families & children. Staff were very friendly & informationivr. Loved the scents of the candles & looking through the books. Hot chocolate was an amazing end through the park.
Thank you so much for the lovely review all the staff will really appreciate it :)
First off the staff here are brilliant. So friendly and make you welcome right away. Their kitchen isnt operating at the moment but the lady told us there's no problem bringing food to the centre. We did a quick run back down to spar for some sambos. The facilities are spotless and there's loads to do. We have a 4 and 1 year old and they had a ball. Between the indoor soft play area and the outdoor sand play ground the first hour went by in no time. Then we got to the nature. The walk down to the disappearing lake through the wildflower meadow is gorgeous. The labelled trees is a great idea and learning about the different types that we all pass everyday bit don't know about is great. (Google helped a little with this bit). The Botany bubble is really cool and just outside the signs of the different plants and what they can do is something you could take a picture of to print off for natural remedies. The animals are great. You can get up close to most of them and they were super friendly and being able to feed some from your hand was a real treat for the kids. It also had one of the best fairy trails we've been to so far with names by their doors so you know their profession. We didn't have time to finish the nature walk today but we will definitely have to come back another day and do it again.
