We used Hurghada Fun Day Trips during our stay in Egypt a couple of months ago and had a fantastic experience. Sara Mohamed was exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Booking our excursions through her could not have been easier; everything was effortless, well organised, and clearly explained. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and Sara was always happy to offer advice and answer all of our questions quickly. The trip was advertised as around three hours, but in reality it took four and a half hours to reach Luxor due to very frequent stops by the drivers. This made the journey longer and more tiring than expected. The minibus itself was a positive: comfortable, easy to ride in, and overall fine for a long drive. Unfortunately, I was not very satisfied with the Egyptologist guide. His English was quite limited, and it was often hard to understand explanations. The information shared was very basic, with few new or interesting facts beyond what most visitors already know. Throughout the day, I constantly felt pressure to spend extra money — small tips, optional activities, side stops — which made the experience feel uncomfortable and commercial rather than cultural. One optional stop was a “Nile lagoon” experience, which we paid €30 for two people. We were told we would see animals, but we saw none at all. I would strongly advise skipping this part. The Valley of the Kings was excellent, but be aware that the standard ticket only includes three tombs. Entrance to Tutankhamun’s tomb requires additional payment. It is probably worth seeing, although we chose not to. Lunch was very disappointing — limited choices, low quality, and honestly closer to a one-star restaurant experience. On the positive side, the Hatshepsut Temple was amazing and absolutely worth the visit. The guide handled tickets and transport efficiently, and the tour ended fairly early (around 2 PM). We departed very early in the morning and arrived in Luxor around 9 AM, so the timing itself was well organized. Overall, while the main historical sites are impressive, the experience was reduced by often trying to get more money. This has a lot of potential to make it better.

I would highly recommend this group for anyone wanting to experience excursions whilst in Egypt. Me and my boyfriend have done Luxor and Cairo and both days have been incredible. The tour guides have spoken very good English so we understood everything, very friendly and made us feel welcome. 5* service, would 1000% use Hurghada Fun Day Trips again when we return. 🫶🏻

We had an incredible trip to Luxor. Pick up was on time. Our guide Mimo was fantastic. He was knowledgable about the area and everything to do with ancient Egypt. We visited valley of Kings and a couple of temples, before a stop at a local museum/shop, where the locals were hard at work making alabaster statues, before having a buffet lunch overlooking the River Nile. After lunch we went on a boat trip. Also provided was fresh fruit and drinks. The tour was brilliant and well run.

The itinerary for this tour was supposed to include the valley of the queens, however we did not go to the valley of the queens. Instead they brought us to banana island and a souvenir shop. There was an extra charge of 10 euro for this (it wasn’t mentioned in the itinerary). We didn’t want to go to these two places but it was mandatory. They brought us to the valley of the kings 1 hour before it closed and we only got to see three tombs and it was all very rushed. They tried to get us to pay extra for another tomb but thankfully we didn’t agree as we would not have had time to even see it. We wasted so much time at banana island and the souvenir shop and a lunch we didn’t have time to properly see the historical things which was the reason we went there for. I don’t recommend this tour at all. Also it says they have a toilet on the bus and I asked again if they have one and they said they do. Of course in reality they had no toilet. Again they mislead you and just tell you anything. Don’t trust them.
