What a wonderful day we had at the new Grand Egyptian Museum. We were picked up from the Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel at 8.30 by Hosny our Egyptologist and guide for the day. I must say Hosny was just amazing, speaking such clear English he was very easy to understand and of course his knowledge excellent. He was also very careful not to cram too much information but gave us the most important facts about the exhibits. The Museum buildings are incredible and certainly a huge highlight in themselves, such amazing architecture. We were blown away by the exhibits of course especially Tutankhamun plus the amazing way everything is displayed and so easy to get around. So thank you Hosny for such a memorable day, we will not forget the friendship you showed towards us and your great knowledge and passion of Egyptian history.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is a very large museum and could get a bit overwhelming hence, I would highly recommend booking a guided tour to better enjoy the experience. Our guide Hosney was great at walking us through the most important parts of the museum and providing us with all the historical information. Do not miss this experience it’s a must!

Had a great time with Hosny who was overall Awesome. He led us on a tour of the Great Egyptian Museum and kept the topics super interesting. After the tour we had the opportunity to visit some nice shops to do some shopping. Overall highly recommend for a full but relaxed day touring Cairo.
