Great trip on a beautiful boat. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a drink onboard and the views were amazing. We’ll do this again.
We took the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers from Chelsea Harbour and it was such a lovely, smooth journey. It’s a beautiful way to see London from the river — passing Battersea, the London Eye, Tower Bridge and The Shard along the way. Relaxed, scenic, and a much nicer pace than travelling by road.

What an excellent day. so easy to use , gets to see all the sights, and even went through the Thames Barrier. We almost managed two whole round trips. We started at the London eye, and went all the way to Barking Riverside, stayed on and then went all the way to Putney. From Putney back to Greenwich. Greenwich to Battersea, and finished the day from Battersea to Blackfriars.

Disappointed that on a beautiful day there was no open deck. Even the small open rear deck had an overhanging roof and the seats (of which there were few) would be better facing the rear, where the views are rather than the blank wall in front. Also, although we were 5th and 6th in the queue to board, a school party of around 30 arrived after us and were let on first. We were lucky as we were the last two let on, but those in 7th place or later behind us were not allowed to board as the boat was full.

Once it was evening, the boats and staff at the piers dry up. The app is next to useless. The staff on the boats are too busy, trying to load you up, to help you. Boats didn’t come, then a boat slowed down to shout they’re full and cant stop. Then they don’t stop at every dock anymore. If you’re ready to get stuck in the wrong part of London and then ,get an actual Uber, to get back to your original location. Then go for it.

In response to a Facebook offer of half price boat tickets for June I booked 4 concession tickets for me, my wife and 2 friends. All of us are over 70.We boarded the boat at Barking Riverside and got off at Tower Millennium pier for lunch. On returning to Tower Millennium pier we were told we could not board the Uber boat as we did not have Freedom passes or 60+ Oyster cards to support our concessionary Uber tickets. The advert had no mention that these would be required. Consequently 4 people aged over 70 years of age , (one of whom has COPD) were left stranded in London on one of the hottest days of the year and had to struggle to find their way home by train. Nowhere on the Facebook offer did it state that a Freedom pass of 60+ Oyster card is required.

During this period, customers aged 60 and over were able to access the same discounted fares as Freedom Pass and 60+ Oyster photocard holders. To redeem this offer a standard adult ticket for either a single, return or Hop-on Hop-off ticket would have been required to be selected and then apply the discount code. This offer was only available on our website and would not have been applied for any alternative methods of payment. We apologise for any confusion caused.
