Klokken 7.30 henter vores chaufførguide dig fra dit hotel eller hvor som helst i Paris med et køretøj med aircondition af høj kvalitet, til det første stop er omkring 3 timers kørselstid.
Besøg det ikoniske Château of Chenonceau med din lokale guide, et af de mest fantastiske eksempler på Loire-dalens arkitektur, med dets enorme galleri, der spænder over bredden af Cher-floden, hvilket giver den kaldenavnet "Ponte Vecchio of France." Med tilnavnet Château des Dames - Ladies' Château - var det successivt ejet af mange kvinder med magt og indflydelse, herunder Diane de Poitiers og Caterina de' Medici. • Inde i slottet vil vi opdage den utrolige samling af mesterværker (Reubens, Van Dyck, Corregio...), de kongelige soveværelser, saloner for kong François I og kong Louis XIV, kapellet og selvfølgelig galleriet designet af Caterina de'Medici.
• Efter vores besøg på slottet vil vi møde en lokal vinmager og få en privat smagning i hans vingård nær Chenonceau. Kørsel fra Chateau de Chenonceau til Ange er 20 minutter.
Oplev slottet, der inspirerede Hergé til at skabe sin tegneseriefigur Tintin. Ejerne bor i slottets højre fløj, og der er århundredgamle træer i den smukke park og en indhegning, hvor man kan se slottets ejers flok jagthunde.
• Det eventyrlige Château de Chambord er det største af alle slottene i Loiredalen og har til huse dybt i den største lukkede, skovklædte park i Europa. Chambord er bestilt af kong François I og er kulminationen på renæssancearkitektur og opfindsomhed. • Vi vil være særligt opmærksomme på det innovative design – fra Leonardo da Vincis dobbeltvindeltrappe i hjertet af slottet, til slottets blåprint i form af et kors, til de kongelige værelser og utrolige haver. Vi vil tage os tid til at opdage dette revolutionerende slot. Kørsel fra Ange til Chateau de Chambord er omkring 50 minutter og tilbage til hotellet er det 3 timer. På vejen kan du også se det storslåede landskab og krydse typiske franske små landsbyer.

A 5 Star Experience. BACKGROUND. A week before we toured the Loire Valley with FINDING FRANCE/Clement Decre, Brenda and I learned that Air France had a nonstop flight from Phoenix to Paris. So we grabbed two tickets for the next day (November 30), landed in Paris (December 1) and took the train to Strasbourg (Capitale de Noel) for the Christmas Markets for a few days (if you find yourself in France in December, Strasbourg is a must visit); then we returned to Paris. FINDING FRANCE. Brenda and I have been to Paris so many times over the years that we were stymied what to do next as we had three days before our flight home. In conversation with the concierge at our hotel I asked about a private tour to the Loire Valley, and he recommended FINDING FRANCE -- which was the highlight of our brief time in France. Everything was perfect from the cleanliest of the limousine to the knowledge/professionalism of Clement as he guided us through the Chateau du Clos Luce, the Leonardo Di Vinci Park and Museum, the Chateau du Chenonceau and the Loire Valley. (As an aside, Clement showed us a small restaurant in Amboise, no tourists just locals, where we had the best ever ham and cheese sandwich!) THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING. This June 2025, after high school graduation and before our granddaughter starts college, we will be returning to France -- and we will be booking a tour with FINDING FRANCE. Brenda and I cannot think of better way to introduce our granddaughter to France than a tour with FINDING FRANCE. As I earlier said, it is a "5 Star Experience."
