Completely overcrowded with crowds of people. Broken English is sometimes hard to understand, lacking historical background, and some explanations for the pictures lose detail. AI could do it cheaper and better with modern communication technology. What a pity!

The organisation and communication for the Uffizi guided tour was not as good as for the other places we visited while in Florence. We had been advised by email that the start time had been pushed back by half an hour, but it was well over an hour late; the agents at the meeting point weren’t wearing any means of identification and didn’t introduce themselves or explain what was happening. I think we were tacked onto the back of a bigger group who’d already been to the Accademia before moving onto the Uffizi. However, once we did get going, the tour guide was excellent - she was very knowledgable and really brought the subject to life. There’s a lot to see, so it’s definitely worth having a guided tour if it’s your first visit.

We had a great tour guide. Very informed ,witty with just enough of center data to make the tour interesting. I can’t imagine attempting to do this museum with out a guide and the fact it was a small group was even better! Who wants to follow the flag with hoarding groups!

I enjoyed the museum. Lara was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and nice. I could have spent a lot more time with her. I want to emphasize that we didn’t get an avoid the line tour. We had to wait in line. That was too bad as we were charged for something we didn’t get.

We went on new year's eve and the Uffizi gallery was super crowded. The general admission line was about 3-4 hours long. We booked this tour last minute the day before and I'm so glad we did it. The line for tour groups was so much shorter. Our guide was very good and thorough - unfortunately I forgot her name (older blond italian lady). She asked for everyone's names and answered questions my kids have about the art. We were able to see the famous artworks in the Uffizi and also learned the art history and why they are considered masterpieces. Overall it was a good investment of time and money.
