Fra dit hotel i Beirut hentes du med smil om morgenen kl. 8:15 til en dagstur. Rejsende vil udforske den gamle fønikiske by Sidon, som den har haft af stor religiøs, politisk og kommerciel værdi for regionen, det siges at være beboet siden 4000 f.Kr. Vores første besøg i Sidon vil være på Crusaders Sea Castle.
Herefter strækker man gamle Souks (markeder) der har opretholdt deres smukke bygninger og kommercielle rolle. I nærheden observeres en reparationsproces såvel som små håndværksforretninger. I den gamle Souk er der hvælvede gyder, der er 14 kilometer lange, og ikke langt fra Sea Castle ligger den maleriske hvælvede souk fra Sidon, hvor arbejderne stadig udøver deres handler. På kanten af souken er et traditionelt kaffehus, hvor mandlige klienter mødes for at ryge narguileh (vandledning) og drikke tyrkisk kaffe. Fiskere sælger deres seneste fangst på markedet nær havnen ikke langt fra soukens indgang. Når du kommer ind på markedet El-Shakiriyya, er der Debbaneh Palace, hvor en overdækket, smal trappe fører til den indre gård i denne gamle bygning, der blev bygget i 1721. Bygningen har opretholdt sine osmanniske arabiske arkitektoniske træk.
Derefter vil den rejsende gå ind på et museum for at spore historien om sæbeproduktion i regionen, dens udvikling og fremstillingsteknikker, vi vil se en demonstration af, hvordan traditionelle olivenoliesæber er lavet og lære om historien om "hammam" (bad ) traditioner. En historisk del af museet introducerer artefakter, der blev fundet under udgravning på stedet, og som indeholder rester af lerrørhoveder fra det 17. til det 19. århundrede samt keramikfragmenter. Museumsbygningen er en gammel sæbefabrik, der blev bygget i det 17. århundrede, selvom det indeholder dele, der antages at dateres tilbage til det 13. århundrede.
Den store moske, tidligere kirken St. John of Hospitalers. De fire vægge i denne rektangulære bygning (for nylig restaureret til deres naturlige skønhed) stammer fra 1200-tallet. Oprindeligt en fæstninglignende Crusader-forbindelse med sit eget kapel, og er stadig en imponerende struktur, især set fra havet.
Khan El Franj er en af de mange khaner bygget af Fakhredine II til købmænd og varer. Dette er en typisk khan med en stor rektangulær gårdsplads og en central springvand omgivet af overdækkede gallerier. I midten af det 19. århundrede var khanens centrum for den økonomiske aktivitet for byen, som også husede det franske konsulat.
Efter khan al Franj tager vi mod landsbyen Maghdoucheh, de rejsende besøger vores Frue af venter, som er en melkitisk græsk-katolsk marisk helligdom og en hule, og som blev opdaget i 1721, de rejsende vil gå gennem helligdommen, der består af et tårn kronet med statuen af Jomfruen og barnet, en katedral, en kirkegård og en hellig hule, der antages at være den, hvor Jomfru Maria hvilede, mens hun ventede på Jesus.

Det betragtes som en af de største og bedst bevarede romerske hippodromer af sin type i den romerske verden, rejsende vil gå gennem, som er omkring 480 meter lang og 90 meter bred hesteskoformet struktur med plads til tyve tusinde tilskuere, der var samlet for at se den dødbringende sport af vognløb.
Al-bas-stedet er hjemsted for en byzantinsk vej, en triumfbue fra det andet århundrede, en romersk vej med en akvædukt og resterne af et enormt andet århundrede

I booked this tour with Lebanon Local Tour with Harake as a tour guide and it was absolutely incredible. We visited Sidon and Tyre and the experience was rich of history and hidden gems. We also got the chance to visit the Souk were we found amazing people selling their local products. The south of Lebanon is so rich in terms of history and cultural heritage; people were simply amazing - so kind, welcoming and generous. We had also the chance to visit Maghdouche - Our Lady of Mantara (Awaiting Church) - a place full of emotions and positive feelings. Our tour guide Harake was incredible. I don't have enough words to explain how kind, respectful, positive and gentle he was. He helped us out throughout the whole day and was always available for every request we had. He told us precious info about the history of Lebanon and everyday life experiences and explained us each site we visited. I cannot thank him enough about the day we spent together and I highly reccomend him as a guide because he was a true positive resource.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful day touring South Lebanon with Harake! He took us to Sidon and Tyre, gave us plenty of time to explore, shop, and enjoy walking by the shore. He was so patient, kind, and thoughtful — even bought us coffee along the way! Overall, a lovely person and an excellent guide. Highly recommended!

The sights were great but our supposed to be tour guide only acted only as a driver. He did not really provide any tour guiding in Tyre archeologigal sights and Sidon sea castle. He just drove us to the sights and we walked by ourselves in Tyre archeological sights and Sidon sea castle. Our contract was for an English speaking tour guide not an English speaking driver. He was also going to omit some sights which were in the program and he insisted they were not included. So i showed him what i copied from viator ad - Dubane Museum. Eventually he did but we had to retrace our steps as we passed it completely. He did not bring us to the Franj hotel and and Grand Al oman mosque. He just pointed it to us from the street. He walked with us to the souk, soap museum and the magdouche basilica but just walked with us. No commentaries or tour guiding given.

We booked very last minute a tour with Lebanon Local Tour and they were kind enough to assist us. We did a daily tour to Sidon and Tyre, with Ahmed as our driver. While he didn't speak too much English, he was an excellent driver, super friendly and a great company for our daily trip. There was lots of flexibility around the schedule, we could take all the time we needed to enjoy everything we saw at our own pace, while not missing any of the must see spots. He showed us around in the market of Sidon, helped us buy delicious food from street posts and nice souvenirs. This tour was great! It was just me and Ali my tour guide, he was on time, very professional and made sure I enjoy it to the fullest and at my own pace. Just a five - minute drive from the Hippodrome are the seaside Al Mina ruins. The bulk of the Roman ruins are a series pf columns on the seafront. You can pay 120,000 LBP to walk through this beautiful ancient site and take some amazing pictures. The site is open daily from 8;30 am until sunset.

Several historical and cultural places in one trip (souks, castles, ancient ruins, places of worship etc). Great views. Easy transfers between them. No problems.

The driver has been very friendly and very polite and eager to answer all my questions however the service I have received it's a transport service and not a guided tour there is no experienced leader as written in thr tour description I booked a small group tour and I was only myself it didn't worth the 90 euros I have paid the description of the tour is misleading
